“What? It's not like we have anything important going on in our lives. I’m in a new commune and you became a service omega. For not just any alpha. Xaine Covus. You can’t blame me for being curious,” Blaine said. “What happened? He fucked you, didn’t he? You didn’t like it.”
Like? Holi loved it. He couldn’t even describe how he felt when Xaine was inside him. His hole clenched excitedly just thinking about it. Holi blushed.
“You’re blushing.”
Fuck. Holi covered his cheeks.
“I like it, okay?”
“You look like you more than liked it. He’s good, huh?” Blaine asked slyly.
“Stop. You’re making me blush.”
“So, what’s the problem? Why did you look sulky when you arrived?”
“We had an argument,” Holi sighed. “It's nothing.”
“About what? Tell me.”
Holi explained everything that happened. From the moment he accused Xaine of using his scent or alpha voice on him, to him storming out. Blaine stared at him as if he’d gone crazy. Maybe he was crazy.
“Do you react to any alpha’s scent the way you do his?”
“No.”
“Maybe you like him. Omegas don’t react to any alpha’s scent. Only the ones they like.”
“No. I hate him, remember?”
“There’s a thin line between love and hate, just so you know.”
“No. I know how I feel. Ever since I met him, he’s done nothing but embarrass me. He’s rude, too aggressive, and too much. I don’t want an alpha like him.”
“Aggressive alphas are aggressive. They can’t help it,” Blaine said. Holi glared at him. The omega bust out laughing. “You’re taking this way too seriously. You like him, you don’t like him. Who cares? If he fucks you good, enjoy it.”
“Not everything is about sex.”
“You’d be surprised how much everything is about sex. We’re all trying to get laid one way or another.”
“Not me.”
“Yes. I forgot you’re looking for the perfect alpha. Who, by the way, will fuck you, even though he’s proper and prissy,” Blaine said.
“You’re so vulgar,” Holi said, jumping on Blaine and wrestling him.
“Get off me, you lout.” He laughed.
Holi hung out with Blaine until Blaine chased him away. By the time he walked into the Covus house it was late. The house was dark and eerily silent. Holi hated it. He wished the year could go by fast. Holi made his way upstairs to Xaine’s room. The light was on, but Xaine wasn’t there. He looked around, wondering where he was.
Who cares? Holi thought. He went to the washroom and quickly got cleaned up. When he was done, he put on the sleeping clothes Xaine bought for him. Holi hated that he had to rely on him like this. It was terrible. He didn’t have anything. Holi couldn’t even buy himself anything. He was woefully dependent on Xaine.
Fuck.
Holi walked to the bed and got under the covers. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep. But he just couldn’t fall asleep. He kept thinking about Xaine and their conversation.
Was he angry at him? Maybe Holi shouldn’t have said what he said.
He said mean things to you too, a small voice in the back of his mind said. Holi sat up irritated with himself. The door opened just then, and Xaine walked in.
