What?
Stayed?
Held you?
Ugh! I’m so fucking needy. Holi rubbed his face, irritated with himself.
He only got like this during his heat. And his heat was days away.
I’m so stupid. Holi picked up a piece of fruit and shoved it in his mouth. He walked out of the house to the waiting pod. Preat opened the door for him, and within minutes they were drifting down the airway to…
Holi stared at the large sign above the building.
When Klane said he made an appointment for him at the health centre, Holi didn’t think he meant Dladr Academy Health Centre.
He didn’t think he meant Sirhe’s health centre.
“Do you want me to go in with you?” Preat asked.
“No. I’m fine,” Holi said. He got out of the pod and walked into the building. Holi never thought he’d come back here.
Ever.
Holi’s heart ached when he thought of the way Sirhe treated him. He pushed away the feeling and focused on what he came to do there. He walked to the front desk.
“I have an appointment. My name is Holi…”
“Holi?” someone called behind him. Holi turned to find Jamue standing there. “It is you,” Jamue said. He rushed to him and wrapped his arms around Holi in a hug.
Uhhh… Holi froze, confused.
“I haven’t seen you in such a long time,” Jamue said as he pulled away. “How is your father?”
Didn’t Sirhe tell Jamue what happened? He asked the alpha not to tell his uncle, but Holi thought he would tell Jamue.
“My father died.”
“Your father died. When?”
“After master Yom’s party. When I got home from the party, he was already gone.” To this day Holi regretted going to that party. He should have stayed home with his father.
“When was that?” Jamue frowned.
“It was…” Holi trailed off and looked at Jamue. He ran his eyes from the top of the omega’s head to his face and then paused on his unmarked neck. Didn’t his alpha claim him that night? Holi tried to remember what Sirhe told him.
“I’ll make him forget. He won’t remember that he was bonded to an alpha.”
Oh shit. What did Sirhe do? Jamue didn’t seem to remember that night. And he didn’t have a claiming mark.
“It’s been close to a year,” Holi said.
“Oh…why didn’t you connect with me? I would have come,” Jamue said, hugging him again. “How are you? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” he said. “I got bonded.”Fuck, why did he say that? Holi bit his lip worriedly. But he couldn’t leave Jamue like this. The omega needed to know what happened to him.
“What?”
“It was an accident. The alpha didn’t mean to claim me. Your brother helped me. He removed the claiming mark for me,” Holi said. “Please, don’t tell anyone. I don’t want people to know that I was bonded by accident.”
