“He can always come hang with us,” Wren says. “I always need a new victim–I mean, models to practice on.”

“Yeah,” Freddy agrees. “And me and Wren can sit awkwardly on the other side of the room while you two dry hump on Wren’s couch.”

“Oh my god, Freddy!” I grab a tater tot from my tray and fling it at him. “You’re being completely wild right now.”

“Oh please, I’ve said wilder things before breakfast. Hey, does this mean we can double-date with Andrew? Think about how many old people we can bother when there are two couples flaunting their homosexualities?”

“Maybe soon,” I tell him, reaching for my phone. “We can drag you to all the new horror movies at the theater. I know how much you love them.”

Freddy sticks his tongue out at me. “As long as I can bury my head in Andrew’s chest, I’ll be fine.”

Grace

Theo

Grace

Theo

Thursday, September 21

I tell Harrison to come over immediately after school because I need to tell him something important. I have no idea what he thinks when I ask him to come alone.

But Harrison doesn’t ask questions. He shows up alone.

“Okay, so are you finally going to tell me what’s been going on with you?”
