We sit quietly for a few minutes, and I allow myself to sit comfortably in the silence. Harrison’s not going anywhere. I think I always knew that, but it’s something else entirely to be certain.

“So, when are you going to tell the others?” Harrison asks.

“Probably shouldn’t do it over text, huh?” I say with a crooked smile.

“Yeah, probably not.”

I nod. “Maybe Sunday? After church? It’s Elise’s week at her dad’s, isn’t it?”

“She’s going to church with her dad, but then she’s hanging out with me in the afternoon. So, we’re free.”

“I’ll see if Oliver can come, too, then.”

Harrison scoffs. “When is Oliver ever too busy for us?”

I chuckle. “True.”

There’s another few moments of silence before Harrison puts a hand on my shoulder again. “Thanks again for telling me, Theo. Also, for the record, Caleb genuinely seems like a good guy. I’m glad it’s him. He’s honestly a much better match for you than…” he trails off.

“Than Sienna?” I offer with a pained expression.

He winces. “Yeah. Sorry.”

“Don’t be. I couldn’t agree more.”

He sighs. “Not looking forward to hearing that conversation.”

“What do you mean?”

“Are you going to tell Sienna about Caleb?”

I twist my face. I hadn’t even considered that. “No way. Why would I? It’s none of her business.”

“Oh,” Harrison raises his eyebrows. “That’s a fair point, I guess.”

Shit,shouldI tell Sienna? Is there any reason to? What if she finds out anyway? It’s not very likely because she doesn’t go to our school, and we barely spend any time together outside of church. But…rumors do spread. And if I want to bring Caleb around, she might just find out anyway.

Ugh. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. For now, I have Harrison. I have Caleb. Soon I’ll have Grace, Elise, and Oliver. For today, that’s enough.

“Hey,” Harrison says after a few moments of silence. He nudges my shoulder and nods towards my TV. “Wanna smash?”

I exhale a weak laugh. “Yeah, dude. I really do.”

I told Harrison about us. I don’t know why I was nervous, he was super supportive of course. threatened to beat up anyone who gives us a hard time <3
