Thea got in the back seat first, closely followed by Jackson, and I snorted. They looked ridiculous back there since Jackson was as wide as a door, but that wasn’t my problem. They were getting a free flight on a private jet. They had no reason to complain about anything.
“Hey guys!” Thea said, bringing her arms forward to hug Alyssa from the front seat. Meanwhile, all I was offered was a side-eye. Not surprising. Pretty sure Thea still thought I was the devil for treating her brother like shit when I thought he was going to take my spot in college. It’d been seven years since then, so I felt like she was being a little dramatic. Tanner and I were friends now. Okay, that was probably too generous. Wetoleratedeach other, so there was no need to hate me anymore. Besides, the guy was playing in the fucking Super Bowl. It wasn’t like he was waiting for me to repent my sins, or anything.
“Sorry we’re a little late. We got stuck in traffic,” Alyssa says.
She smacked me in the chest when I snorted.
“Traffic? You sure that’s not code word for sex?” Jackson asked, and I could’ve sworn I heard Alyssa visibly gulp.
“It is,” I answered, unashamed.
“Aiden!” Alyssa hissed as I pulled back onto the street.
“Would you look at this,” Jackson mused, his arm stretched over Thea as he tested the quality of my seats. If he thought he was doing me a favor, he wasn’t. I’d tested the quality plenty of times. Although, now seeing how squashed he looked, I was impressed with my agility and fitness in getting Alyssa off every single time I fucked her back there.
“Aiden Matthews personally picking us up. Driving us to his private jet so we can watch the Super Bowl live. Man, I feel like an actual celebrity.”
I glanced at him in the rearview mirror. “According to Alyssa, youarea celebrity.”
Jackson snorted. “Nah,she’sthe famous one.” He jerked his thumb toward Thea. “I just produce the show.”
Thea groaned, shaking her head. “Stop it. It’s not like I have any real talents. I just talk to people.”
“And make them feel all the things. They open up,” Alyssa added.
From the rearview mirror, I could see Thea giving Jackson a coy smile and I rolled my eyes, completely uninterested in all this fake self-congratulatory flattery. Seriously, when did people get so self-involved? Who wanted to sit around listening to other people pontificate on their lives?
“I’ve noticed you’ve got less athletes on the show and more pop culture. Is that where the podcast is going?” Alyssa asked.
“That’s whereChally Sports Networkwant me to take it. They are trying to push into the entertainment space, and they think I’d be a good fit to help them with that.”
“Oh really? Then why do they want you interviewing the players at the Super Bowl.”
“They want her to do thePost-Game Hot Takessegment she’s known for.”
“Ooh, are these takes on your brother?” Alyssa asked.
“Yeah. If he doesn’t do what he’s supposed to, then I’ll definitely have a few things to say. Tanner is too good to lose, and I’ll tell him that.”
“Thea thrives on controversy,” Jackson added, smirking. “And I think there will be a big upset if the Crossbills don’t win tonight.”
“That’s awesome,” Alyssa said, and I held it back. The sarcastic comments about how ‘awesome’ it really was. If I wanted to watch two siblings fight, I could just wait until Benny and his brother Ford cussed each other out on my sites.
“They’ve also arranged for me to interview Bailey Hill after the halftime show.”
Alyssa grabbed the back of my headrest so she could turn her entire body to look at Thea with her jaw dropped. I’d tell her that was a safety risk, but honestly, I enjoyed catching glimpses of her with her dress riding high since it gave me a good view of her pink lacy panties from here. The ones which were no doubt still soaked from everything we did earlier.
Fuck me. I was getting hard again.
“I’m sorry. Did you just say Bailey Hill?TheBailey Hill. The girl whose world tour sold out in two minutes?”
“Yeah. Her.”
“That’s huge! Why the hell didn’t you start with that?!”
“I don’t know. I didn’t want to sound like I was gloating.”
“Sorry to say, you still sound like you’re gloating,” I said. Not even a second later, Alyssa karate chopped me in the stomach, and thankfully my assisted drive was on, which meant we didn’t swerve.
