I did look fab. My hair is silk pressed, parted in the middle, and dropping to the center of my back. Anise wanted me to wear my hair up in a ponytail and a purple and white crop top sweatsuit.

I am not 24, I am 30. I chose a denim jumpsuit, long sleeves rolled just under my elbows. I slip on my pair of tan, red bottom heels, and I spritz my favorite perfume.

My large gold hoops, a four layered thin gold necklace, my gold watch, and a small tan clutch. I am ready to go.

“How do I look?” I turn toward my sisters.

Rosemary gazes up from packing her makeup, Cassia and Anise sit on my bed and sip glasses of wine.

“Ok Miss Sophisticated.” Cassia says as she raises her glass to me.

Anise sighs hard. I raise my eyebrow and squint at her.

“I just want you to show more skin. At least your butt looks good in it. The hint of cleavage is not bad either.” She pouts as she holds a pillow to her chest and takes another sip.

“How are we judging him?” Cassia asks, as she passes her hand up her hair wrap.

“If he blows the horn and doesn't come to the door. This is your last dat—”

My doorbell rings. “Shit, he is on time too,” Cassia screams.

She and Anise dash off the bed and fly out the bedroom.

“Should we stop them?” Rosemary asks.

“I don’t think we can. Give me a last check.” I do a final turn for Rosemary to inspect.

“You’re stunning. Go get him!” She hugs me and smiles.

“Okay! No! Who is he, Rosey? Who got you this happy? Like seriously!” I pull back and watch her closely.

“I will tell you in time. Now there is a hottie downstairs waiting for you. Let’s go.” She leaves the bedroom, and I walk down after her.

“Are you sure you don’t want to come in for a drink?” I can hear Cassia trying to persuade him to come in.

“No, but thanks.” His voice is soft but timber rich.

Just like that my nerves got the best of me. I stop before I hit the stairs just to breathe and relax. I’m fine, I’ve got this.

Whilst I come down the stairs, I see him standing with his hands behind his back, looking down at my sisters as he talks.

As if he senses my approach, he looks up at me and gives me a small smirk.

My sisters part for me and stand back.

“Hi. You ready?” I sound so breathy. I need to get it together. He is effortlessly sexy. His hair has that appearance like he passed his hands through it, beard perfectly curated, black diamond studs. White T-shirt, black jeans, and ribbed leather jacket. He looks like he wakes up sexy.

I am thinking about waking up next to him and the date hasn’t even started.

“Got these for you.” He takes his hand from behind his back and presents me with flowers.

I’m taken aback because I would have expected him to have gotten roses but—

“A daisy and tulip bouquet. Zac, thank you, they are beautiful.” I take them and bring them to my nose.

“Daisies signify new beginnings. I like this guy,” I hear Cassia say behind me.

I almost forgot they were here.
