“I will be there in 10.”
I hang up the phone.
“I already texted Daire and Rosey to call the police. Let’s go.”

EMILY
Everything is working out as planned. Now to get these two sniveling brats to like me.
They are both huddled in the chair.
“Come on, look at this pretty doll I got you.”
“I don’t like you. You are like a bad witch. I want my daddy!” Poppy cries out.
I will send her to a boarding school ASAP. The other brat just stares at me with those haunting eyes and says nothing.
“How about you son? Don’t you want to play with your new bike.”
“Is he dumb?” I ask.
“No, he just doesn’t like you!” The little girl demon sticks her tongue out. “My daddy and Sage will come for us, wait and see!”
Sage!
“NO, SAGE!” I scream out.
“My daddy will come and beat you up!” she screams. I advance to slap her and the little boy jumps out of the chair and stands in front of her, sticking his chin out.
“Your dad is going to be my boyfriend and then I will be your mommy,”
“No. You’re too ugly, my daddy will marry Sage. He has a ring!”
A ring! He has a ring! I look out at the opened door and check for Zac’s car.
“He will never marry you! You are not a nice person.”
“Why you little devil” I launch at them. The girl runs up the stairs and the boy dashes out the house.
I fucking hate kids. If he thinks I’m going to run after him he is out of his mind. He can get lost in the bamboo for all I care. I look to the stairs to see if Poppy is there. I see nothing there. I’m not running after her either. Zac and I need to send these children to boarding school. It needs to be far, like Sweden or Madagascar. Just then, I see Zac’s black muscle car pull up.
See, he does love me. He came, he… His passenger side opens and Sage gets out of his car.
Zac rushes through the open door, he walks up to me and grabs my neck. “Where the hell are my kids?”

ZAC
I warned this bitch not to touch what was mine. Emily reaches out at me, her nails claw at my arm, the other hand is trying to pull my hand away from her neck.
“Where the hell are my kids?” I see nothing but red. I want her dead.
Sage touches my arm, “Let her go, come on baby. Let’s go find the kids.”
I slacken my fingers and Emily steps back to the side table coughing trying to catch her breath.
