I stood by the door, wondering if he would just go away.
But he didn’t, he kept knocking.
“Rome,” he said, “seriously, I know you’re there.” he said impatiently.
I pursed my lips and sighed, throwing my head back.
Opening the door slowly, my eyes scanned the empty corridor and checked to see if he was alone. I looked up at him, hiding the hand with my gun in it behind the door just in case.
“What do you want?” I snapped.
He pushed the door further open, letting himself in.
Antoni’s expression was dark, and his hair was soaking wet as was the white shirt that clung to his torso.
I frowned as he closed the door behind him.
His eyes flickered to the gun in my hand, and he reached, trying to grab it from me. I was too quick, and pulled my hand away, holding it above my head. He closed the space between us in a single beat and wrapped his strong hand around my wrist, and pinned it against the wall.
“I’m not playing these fucking games any more, Rome,” he said.

Chapter 12
Antoni
Ihad her exactly where I wanted her, pinned against the wall.
Snatching the gun from her hand, she gave up her fight quickly as I threw the piece across the room. It landed with a heavy thud, and she looked up at me with her always-suspicious doe eyes. I brought my face closer to hers, dropping her wrist and taking her chin, forcing her to look at me.
I could almost see her thoughts plastered plainly in her expression - the inner battle she was fighting between hatred, desire, and fear.
“Just for once, Rome, do as you’re fucking told.”
She nodded slowly, her eyes still trained on mine.
Carefully, as to not scare her off, I took her face into my hands.
My fingers caressed the side of her cheeks as I pulled her closer toward me. I leaned down, and did what I had wanted to do since the moment I had met her.
I pressed my lips against hers.
She fought against it, only momentarily, placing her palm on the centre of my chest. I loosened my grip, and only had to pause for a beat before she surrendered to me with a defeated sigh. She returned my kiss with an urgency that I didn’t expect, and she pressed her torso against mine.
Closer and closer, she forced us together.
I dropped my hands from her face to her waist, digging my nails into the bare flesh and pulling her hips to meet mine. She groaned against my mouth as I trailed my fingers lightly up her stomach, sneaking my hands under her shirt. I cupped her breasts roughly, and she threw her head back as I trailed my lips down towards her neck, biting and sucking as she pulled at my still soaking wet hair.
I didn’t want to wait any longer.
I needed her.
The logical part of my brain had been turned off for now, and something more raw, something more animalistic within me had taken over. Certain parts of my job demanded this of me, and now, so did this woman. Without knowing it, she had access to the switch in my mind that allowed me to forgo all logic, and all forms of rational thinking. For once, I didn’t care about consequence.
I only cared about claiming her completely.
I slipped my hands under her thick thighs, and she wrapped her legs around my waist as I picked her up. Scanning the room, my eyes found a small buffet counter against the wall by the kitchen. With one swift motion, my arm cleared the top of it. The various decor tumbled and smashed on the tile floor below us. Rome let out a dark chuckle, and I gently set her down.
