“You’ve fucked us all!” Bea said, stepping forward and getting into Sierra’s face, “it’ll be impossible to operate now - they’re going to be on our ass for the rest of our lives, don’t you realise that?

“After everything Diana has done for you?” I asked.

“After everythingwe’vedone for you?” Bea scoffed.

“Look,” Sierra looked to the ground, “I’m sorry that you feel that I’ve betrayed you or something, but I don’t owe anyone anything.”

“You don’t owe us, but fucking hell, this is just ridiculous! What kind of selfish brat rats out her friends? You didn’t even tell us about it, or warn us about what was to come!” Bea spat, “What if they had retaliated? We got lucky that they just took back the stash, we could’ve been fucking killed for this. Do you even care about that? Did you even consider that?”

Sierra shook her head, laughing slightly and my hand twitched.

I was hyper aware of my gun in Bea’s hand, and I doubted that Bea would fight me if I snatched it from her. Hell, I was damn surprised that Bea hadn’t shot her yet - though she did have much better self control than me.

“What’s so funny?” I snapped.

I couldn’t believe that she was taking this so lightly.

It was one thing to do the shitty thing, but she didn’t even seem bothered about it. If I had betrayed all of my friends at once, and been responsible for the harm of a man who had been nothing but nice to us, I wouldn’t be able to show my face.

“You better get the fuck out of here, now,” I said, standing out of the way of the door.

She scoffed, and Bea’s eyes widened with rage and she pointed the gun directly at her.

“Now,” Bea repeated.

Sierra looked at us both, and decided it would be a bad idea to argue.

She let out a defeated sigh, and went to grab the bags of cash. I reached across and put my hand on one of them, snatching it away. Her head snapped up and she met my eyes for the first time since I entered the room, and I raised an eyebrow.

“For the girls,” I said, “you owe them that. Especially Liv.”

Her eyes finally dropped to the floor in shame.

Good.

Livie was her best friend, and for the past few years, they had been inseparable. Livie was heavily involved in the operation - and Sierra was fully aware of that, and just how much it would affect her.

She scanned the room once more, and reached for the second bag of cash.

I put my hand on that one too, “this one for Louis.”

Sierra’s eyes narrowed, but decided that she wouldn’t win here. She left all of her belongings, and kept her distance as she walked out of the room, somehow still able to keep her head held high.

I didn’t know if I would ever see her again, and I didn’t know what would happen if I did see her again. She was honestly just lucky that I was already so emotionally drained.

I tried to stop myself, but all I could think about was the fact that Antoni wasn’t the one who told the old lady about our plans.

How did we not see this coming?

Why did Sierra do this to us?

Her friends. Or so I thought.

I sighed, flopping onto Sierra’s bed and putting my head in my hands. Everything was so backwards, so wrong - and I didn’t know how much more I could take.

Bea sat down next to me, and put an arm around my shoulders, giving me a squeeze.

“It’s OK, Ro.”
