Page 34 of Easy Steal

Instead of going home, I found myself back at Toni’s house.

I didn’t mean to look at Livie’s phone, but I had read something I couldn’t get out of my head.

I don’t know why it bothered me so much, because I hardly knew the girl - and it wasn’t like we were actually dating. Maybe we had made a mistake. Maybe I took it too far.

It was a total lapse in my self control.

I knocked on the door, and waited.

Toni eventually answered it, and frowned when he saw me.

“Sam? What’s wrong?”

I pushed past him and made my way into the house, looking around.

“Where’s Rome?”

“She’s at the club. She’s working. Why?” he followed me, the frown still on his face.

“I need to talk to her.”

“Again,” Antoni sighed, “why? Will you just fucking tell me what’s going on?”

“I have a few questions about Livie.”

“Your girlfriend?” Toni raised an eyebrow.

I rolled my eyes, “I’ll just come back when Rome is here.”

I stormed towards the door, shaking my head.

“Wait,” he called, gesturing for me to follow him.

He led me up to his office, and poured us both a drink. I sat down on the couch and he sat behind his desk, watching me with cautious eyes as I drank.

“You know that Rome doesn’t believe you guys, right?”

I shrugged.

“I know Liv a little,” he said, leaning back in his chair, “what do you want to know?”

I sighed, shaking my head and running my hands through my hair.

“I saw a text.”

Another eyebrow raise, “you went through her phone?”

“No,” I spat, “I was handing it to her, and I saw it.”

“And?”

“It was from a girl named Sierra.”

Antoni scoffed, “her, I know.”

“She’s the one who betrayed them, yes?”

Toni nodded.
