“Hmm.”
“See?” I snapped.
I wasn’t lying, and I was in fact, wearing underwear.
My shorts were short but loose, and I understood how it may have looked like I wasn’t, but the fact that he was looking made me react strangely down there.
“Happy?” I snapped again.
“Disappointed,” he said softly.
I ignored him, and though distracted, managed to get the bolt loose.
“There!” I said, slipping it out of its hole and throwing it towards him.
He pulled me out from under the car, his hand resting on the bullbar of the car as he towered over me.
A strand of his light brown hair fell in front of his face, escaping from his low bun. His eyes darkened, scanning my body as I laid confused on the trolley.
“You have no idea what you’re doing to me,” he said.
I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t know how to respond to the way that he was looking at me. I swallowed the lump in my throat as he lowered himself towards my face, his hair brushing against my cheek.
“You should go get some lunch,” I said, but it came out in a whisper.
He smirked, shaking his head.
“I know exactly what I’m going to eat for lunch,” he said. “I’ve been staring at it for the past ten minutes.”
I raised an eyebrow and shook my head.
It was a side of Sammy that I hadn’t seen before, one so bold and so confident - and I liked it.
The whole situation was confusing, knowing that he had feelings for Larissa, and he was already like a friend to me.
But, I couldn’t bring myself to care.
“Take them off,” he ordered, standing up and crossing his arms across his chest.
“Are you serious?” I said, looking around the empty shop, “what if the boys-”
“Take. Them. Off.”
I bit my lower lip and did as I was told, slipping out of my shorts and hanging them on the bullbar above my head. I pressed my knees together, feeling exposed and nervous, but the risky nature of the situation was also a little thrilling.
“Lift your shirt up.”
I pulled the bottom of my shirt up a little, exposing my breasts to the cool air.
A smirk threatened his lips.
“Spread,” he ordered again, watching me like I was indeed, lunch.
I frowned and clamped my knees harder together, shaking my head. He lifted an eyebrow, shocked that I wouldn’t follow the order.
“I’m not gonna ask again,” he said, kneeling in front of me, “spread.”
I swallowed hard and did as I was asked.
