Chapter 17
Livie
Ieven surprised myself with how cool, calm, and collected I was after the event.
I thought that I would have had at least some of an emotional reaction to his very blatant rejection, but here I was. I hadn’t shed a tear on the entire drive to Lilith’s.
And if I ever did cry, I usually did it in my car.
But so far, I felt fine.
Sure, there was a pit in my stomach if I thought about it for too long. But I put it down to my ego being bruised, more than any sadness. I should be happy that our plan had worked, and that now I was free.
And for the first time in weeks, I could focus on my own life.
Tonight, I was going to dance.
Lilith’s was still closed when I arrived, and I pulled my dance bag out of the boot of my car, and slung it over one shoulder, my backpack over the other.
I unlocked the front door and went up the stairs.
All the lights were on, and there were a few girls hanging around, still in their day clothes, just hanging out until it was time to open. I went through to the dressing rooms out the back, and knocked on Rome’s office door.
“Yeah?” she called from the other side.
I opened it and stepped inside.
“Liv!” Mina called, running towards me in her stiletto heels to pull me into a hug.
Mina was taller than me barefoot, now it was just ridiculous.
She pulled me in close, smooshing my face against her huge tits and rocking my head back and forth as she cooed, “I’ve missed you!” against the top of my head.
“You’re going to suffocate me with these things,” I said against her chest before pushing my way out of her hold.
She shrugged, looking down at her own boobs and readjusting them.
When she moved, I noticed that Bea was sitting in the lounge chair too, with her legs tucked under her, scrolling through her phone.
She looked up at me and smiled, nodding her head in a greeting.
“What’s going on?” Rome asked, tilting her head to the side.
“I’m working tonight,” I shrugged, dropping my dance bag on the ground.
Rome raised an eyebrow, “I thought you needed the next few weeks off?”
“Yeah, well Sam didn’t need me tonight.”
“Oh really? What’s he up to?”
“He’s got a date,” I shrugged, “with Larissa.”
“Oh, babe,” Mina frowned, pulling me back in against her chest.
“It’s fine,” I said, though my voice was muffled by tits.
