“Fuck you, Danny!”Wrench couldn’t be dead! God this was all my fault.
He was too quick for me and moved out of the way as I fell on my face. I could feel the concrete tear my skin as I flew across the floor. Trickles of blood started to run down my face, dripping into the dirt beneath me. I got up and tried to attack him again. He reached down and grabbed my ponytail, yanking me back to my feet.
“Come on, Lilah. Don’t fight me. You know I don’t like to punish you. I always felt bad, remember? All those flowers and jewelry I bought you? But you just kept disobeying me. And then you ran away from me. I gave you everything, Lilah!” His face was right in mine, spit flying as he screamed at me.
“You gave me nothing, Danny! It was my apartment I worked hard for! My car I worked hard to buy! You gave me bruises and tried to bring me down, but I never let you! You are a piece of shit and I should have never gone on that date with you!” He pulled my hair harder as he tried to pull me toward a hole in the chain link fence. I dug my heels into the pavement and dirt, determined to stop him.
“You stupid bitch. Just don’t know when to shut the fuck up.” He threw me on the ground and put his boot on my chest, “Don’t worry, my pretty little thing. I’ll teach you how to act again. You’ll obey me.”
I screamed, hoping somebody would hear me. It was a lost cause though, the fire trucks were in the lot, sirens from police and ambulances were wailing. I grabbed his leg and pulled him down. I punched Danny’s face as I tried to get up and run. He grabbed my ankle and dragged me back toward him.
“I don’t think so, Lilah. You aren’t going anywhere.”
He pulled me toward the fence and I tried grabbing whatever I could to get away. Danny bent down and ripped me off the ground. I thrashed and spit in his face, hoping he would drop me and I could try running again. He slapped me in the face, cutting my lip open. I could taste the blood dripping into my mouth. The hot, metallic, blood poured into my mouth and dropped down my chin. Danny grabbed me, wrapping both arms on top of mine so I couldn’t move them.
“I’m sorry, babe. I’m so sorry I had to do that, but you just need to stop. Just come with me.” He dragged me through the small hole in the chain link fence, the sharp edges scraping my legs and arms, ripping holes in the sides of my pants. “Almost there, Lilah! Just a few more feet to my car and we’ll be on our way home.” I could see a black, beat up car hidden behind some bushes. It was inconspicuous, nobody would even know it was there. I tried to thrash around again, trying my best to escape. I couldn’t let him take me.
“Please, Danny stop! Just stop this craziness. Let me go. It’s over. It’s been over. You can avoid the trouble you’ll be in. Please.” Danny put his disgusting hand over my mouth. It tasted like cigarettes and sweat. I tried to bite his hand but he had it pressed so hard against my mouth I could barely open it.
He took his hand off my mouth to open the trunk, I screamed as loud as I could, praying that somebody could hear me. Danny just laughed as he dragged me toward the trunk.
”Scream all you want. Nobody will hear you out here. Time to go home, Lilah.” He threw me on my stomach into the trunk, quickly grabbing my hands and pulling them behind my back. He tied them with a rope. Then, added handcuffs for additional security. “Just to be careful, sweetheart. Don’t want you to escape on me. We’ll get to our first stop soon enough. You’ll be okay here, I promise.” He kissed my head and slammed the trunk.
Tears started to roll down my face as I panicked. This couldn’t be happening right now! I just had the best night of my life and now I was trapped in a nightmare.I screamed and tried to kick the trunk open. I could feel the sweat dripping down my face. Remembering an old movie I watched, I tried to see if I could stick my finger out the old keyhole and try and get anybody’s attention. I desperately tried to feel around in the dark for the hole or a wire to pull to open the trunk. Finding the hole, I found it was too small and tears started streaming down my face.
Danny had made sure I would never escape this trunk. My darkest fears were actually happening to me. Danny was here and putting his sick plan into action. All the incidents before were nothing compared to this. He was going to kill me and I was never going to see Striker or my family again. Sobbing in the trunk, I could feel the car start to move. My hope that I would be saved was dwindling as the car moved further and further away from the clubhouse. I just hoped that somebody would notice quickly that I was gone. Praying they would find me before it was too late, I closed my eyes and begged my Daddy to look after me. I didn’t want my life to end like this. If Danny got me back to the city, they would never find me. I tried to calm myself down, thinking of a plan to escape. I couldn’t just sit and hope somebody would save me. I was going to save myself, even if it killed me.
Chapter 22
Striker
The ambulance was drivingaway with Wrench inside and the firefighters were just finishing up. The fire was bad, but didn’t do too much damage to the auto shop, thankfully. Wrench needed some stitches and scans at the hospital, but he would be okay. The EMT’s were able to bring him back to consciousness when they loaded him in the ambulance. He was up and talking and wanted to know if everybody else was alright.
We tried to get some info before the ambulance came, but Wrench couldn’t remember anything except being hit over the head with something. The poor guy was so worried that he messed up. We let him know he did nothing wrong and we would find out what had happened. I headed over to talk to the fire captain about the fire.
“Striker. Looks like a case of arson. We found canisters of gas and, what looks like, the remains of a Molotov cocktail. Somebody certainly doesn’t like you.” I glared at the mess of the auto shop, shaking my head and wondering how much this was going to cost the club. Motorcycles were destroyed, customers cars burnt to a crisp, my brothers tools melted and disfigured.
