She just shook her head as he placed her back down.

“This isn’t our house.”

Moose cocked his head. “What do you mean?”

“It’s yours.”

Moose looked between the both of us. I held my hands up and pointed to my woman.

“This is all her idea. Talk to the boss, Brother.”

He turned to Sav. “What’s going on, Savannah?”

She giggled as she pointed to the house.

“This is your new home. I bought it for you. And before you say no, it’s already done. Lily has already written up the papers for me to sell it to you for one dollar.”

Moose just shook his head. “Sav... this is too much.”

“It has all brand new furniture and is already stocked with food. Here’s the key and welcome home.”

Sav walked over to the kids and grabbed their hands, bringing them inside. I turned to Moose and patted him on the back.

“There was no stopping her. Come on in and check it out. Sav put her heart into this place.”

Moose walked with me inside and looked around. “She’s amazing. How did we get so lucky to have this woman in our life?”

I laughed as Moose moved through his new home.

“I dunno, man. But shit, I’m never letting her go.”

We walked through the house until we came to the backyard. Sav was already outside running with the kids and showing them all the things she did outside for them.

I turned to see Moose wipe a single tear away. I playfully elbowed him and he laughed.

“Was that a tear?”

Moose shook his head. “Nope. No crying here.”

We both laughed as we turned to watch Sav and the kids.

“So when you gonna fuck Lily and get her out of your system?”

“So when you gonna put a ring on my girl’s finger and give me some grandbabies?”

We laughed again, and I smiled as Sav waved to me from a treehouse we built for the kids.

“We’re good where we are right now, man. I don’t know if Sav wants kids. I’m good either way. And don’t worry, I’m saving for the perfect ring. Maybe I’ll have to hit up Goose and Mav, they had their Old Ladies rings custom made.”

Moose nodded. “Good plan. I’m just glad you two are happy. And there’s no way I’m getting with Lily. She’s too uppity for me. Have you seen her shoes? Fucking cost a fortune!”

“Women.”

We both chuckled as Sav came running up to us.

“What are you guys talking about?”

I pulled her into me and softly kissed her forehead.
