Delphina looked at her. “And what would he bring to the table other than a good dick?”
Willow, Lilah, and Sav burst out laughing.
Bambi smiled. “I like you. You’ll fit right in.”
Willow chirped in. “Leave Joker alone. He’ll find a nice girl one day.”
Delphina arched her eyebrow. “He’s one of your many men in the club?”
Lilah smirked. “Nope. He’s actually president of a neighboring club. Big brother to Willow here and Bambi. He’s been a great help with so much and is part of the family now.”
“Interesting. I mean, I’m not one to say no to a good one-night stand. But I don’t do relationships.”
I laughed and playfully bumped her with my hip.
“Yeah, your track record for a relationship is... what? One?”
“It’s cause I don’t need a man.”
I laughed again. “That’s what I said, and look where I am now. Knocked up and planning a shotgun wedding.”
Willow took a sip of her drink. “How long are you going to stay for?”
“Until this bitch gets hitched! It’s been too long since I’ve seen her, anyway.”
I smiled at my long-time friend, happy that everything from my past was melding together so well with my future.
Delphina pushed a book in front of me with pages of different color combinations, pulling me out of my thoughts.
“Go through this book and tell me which ones that speak to you.”
I flipped through, looking at each page. I landed on the page labeledwinter wonderland.I held it up to show Delphina.
“This one! I love the blues and silvers.”
Delphina smiled. “Perfect. That one is super fun to work with. Plus, with those colors and your looks, you’re gonna look like a princess!”
Nova came running over and looked at the pages. “Can I look like a princess too?”
Delphina kneeled down and smiled. “Of course! I’m going to need your help with all of this.”
Nova wrapped her arms around Delphina. “Thank you!”
Bambi smiled as they stood up. “If you’re staying for a bit, you should come to the party we’re-”
Willow smacked her while Sav and Lilah just laughed. I looked at the three of them and arched my eyebrow.
“What party?”
Lilah just shook her head. “No party. Nope, none here.”
I took a sip of juice and laughed at my friends. “I’ll act surprised, loose lips. Don’t worry.”
Delphina pushed another book in front of me. “Dresses. I want to go over everything. You got Pinterest boards?”
I shook my head. “Not really. I’ve been working so hard, I honestly never imagined this. And trust me, the wedding I had in my head from when I was little is nothing like I want now.”
“You don’t want the old gang here blowing shit up? Come on, you know those weddings are always a blast.”
