I snuggled into him and slowly let my walls down.

“I should be running so far away from you. But yet, here I am. No matter how hard I try, I’m still pulled back to you.”

“Good. I feel the same way. I promise I’ll never hurt you or let you get hurt.”

Shaking my head, I looked up to him. “Don’t make promises, Moose. They always end up broken. Let’s just live and take this one day at a time, okay?”

He nodded and gently kissed my forehead. I laid my head back on his chest as we both drifted off to sleep.

Thesunshinedinon my face, waking me from the most peaceful sleep I had in a long time. I looked over to see Moose still beside me with his arm tightly holding me against him.

I smiled and snuggled into him. His cock rose as I wiggled my ass some more. His tongue darted out and licked right beneath my ear.

“Stop wiggling before I shove my cock in you, princess.”

I laughed and did it again. “Maybe that’s what I’m aiming for.”

Just as Moose leaned down to kiss me, there was a knock on the door.

“Daddy?”

“Shit!”

I jumped up and ran toward the bathroom, closing the door behind me as I sank to the ground. I could hear the door creak open.

“Hey, baby. What’s up?”

“I was just wondering if you were gonna come make breakfast?”

“Yup. I just slept in. You go ahead and set the table and I’ll be down in a few.”

The door shut, and I slowly opened the bathroom door. Moose stood on the other side with humor in his eyes.

“You good, princess?”

I nodded as he wrapped me in his arms.

“That was close.”

“It was. Do you regret last night, Lily…?”

I looked up at him and kissed the underside of his chin.

“No. But I’m not quite ready for your kids to see me naked in your bed.”

We both laughed as he threw on some clothes. Slowly opening his door, he looked both ways before walking out.

“Get dressed then come downstairs, baby.”

I went into my room and hurried a brush through my hair before throwing it up in a bun. I grabbed the first pair of yoga pants I could find and slipped those on. Grabbing my sweatshirt, I threw that on as I walked down the hall.

I shook my head as I quietly took each step. Last night was...amazing. Moose made me feel so good. Not only physically, but emotionally as well.

My walls were down, and I knew my heart was falling for him despite trying not to. It was only a matter of time before we crashed and burned, but I wanted to try. I wanted to try so fucking badly and see where this led us.

I knew I was going to get hurt, but it was worth it to spend more time with Moose and his kids.

Moose was just setting the table when I walked into the dining room. He looked up and winked at me.
