I laughed, but Sav made me smile. She and Hawk didn’t have any kids but she sure as fuck loved to snuggle everybody else’s kids.

“Sounds good, baby girl. Stop by later.”

“Will do! Love you!”

“Love you too, Sav.”

I hung up the phone and headed downstairs. Lily looked up and smiled at me as I headed toward her, kissing the top of her head.

“Morning everybody. Good news! Lilah and Striker had their new baby boy. Cash Levi Walker.”

Lily leaned on me with stars in her eyes. “That’s wonderful! Oh, I'll have to send them something. He wasn’t supposed to be born for another month.”

“Perfect, princess.” I turned to my kids. “Alright, go brush your teeth and then let’s get moving! Don’t want to be late for school.”

They smiled and ran up the stairs. I turned and caged Lily in against the counter, nuzzling my nose in the crook of her neck.

“Mmm, morning, baby.”

Lily giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck. “Good morning to you too.”

“Can we just stay home in bed all day?”

Lily laughed and pushed me away, grabbing her cup of coffee.

“No! I have clients to see today. Now go get dressed so we can take these kids to school and get a move on.”

I pulled her into me and crashed my lips against hers. “Tonight. You’re all fucking mine, princess.”

Her cheeks turned bright red as I walked away, making me chuckle. That woman was one of a fucking kind and was all mine.

I quickly got dressed, throwing my cut over my black sweatshirt. Moving back down the stairs, the kids were standing by the door with their backpacks on already. Lily grabbed her bag, and we all headed out the door.

As we pulled up to the school, I could see the little blonde teacher, Olivia, waiting outside. She waved as I pulled the truck up and stopped.

She came skipping over and both kids hopped out and ran to hug her. Lily got out as well and chatted with Olivia.

I walked up, and she smiled at me. “Hey, Moose! I heard Lilah and Striker had another baby boy! How are they doing? I know he’s early.”

“Everybody is pretty good. Sav is stopping by today, so I’m sure we’ll hear more from her afterwards.”

“Oh, how perfect! God, I just love babies. Anyway! Look at me chatting away.” She giggled, and it made all of us smile. “I just wanted to come out and make sure the kids got in okay. Daisy called me this morning…”

Lily sighed. “Shit. How did that happen?”

Olivia shrugged. “Dunno. But Daisy said to make sure I was on top of the kids. We don’t want anything to happen to them.”

I shook my head. “Wait. Who’s Daisy and why is she giving you any type of information about my kids?”

“She’s my cousin.”

“Okay….?”

Lily laughed. “Daisy is the new police officer in town. I met her at Hope Hearted and have kept in touch since then. I just got the email that your ex was released from jail… I wanted to wait until the kids were in school to tell you.”

The bell rang, and Nova and Maddox went running into the building. Olivia smiled and turned to Lily and I.

“Well, I gotta get going! But don’t worry, the kids are safe here and I know you’ve got one of your very good lookin’ guys hanging around.”
