“Listen to me, I’ll be—”
“There’s blood everywhere,” she cries.
“What do you mean there is blood everywhere? You just said you weren’t hurt.”
“I don’t know where it came from,” she explains. “They used it to write a message all over the walls.”
“What kind of message?”
“I can’t read it,” she shouts. “It’s in Spanish. Just come here. Please just come here.”
My jaw clenches at the plea and I turn to Wolf.
“Lock the doors and take Danny into the basement. I’m on my way,” I tell her before disconnecting the call.
“What’s going on?” Arrow asks.
“Welcome to Brooklyn, boys,” Nico mutters.
Without asking any questions, Wolf turns to Pipe.
“As of this minute, the club is on lockdown. Get everyone to Kates,” he says, turning to Mac and Arrow. “One of you call your president and tell him there’s been a change in plans, that I’ll be in touch. Riggs, take them to the fucking bank and get those goddamn books. I’ll send Bianci to your house to grab Lauren and the kids.”
Diverting his eyes back to me.
“Go grab your fucking clothes,” he orders. “I’m coming with you.”
“Would someone tell us what the fuck just happened?” Mac growls.
The answer is simple.
It’s one word.
War.
