“From you?” I ask him, taking the envelope in my hand.
“Nope. Not sure who it’s from actually.”
“Is it from you?” I ask Zander.
“No Princess. Maybe one of the others,” He suggests but I don’t miss the tightening around his eyes as he eyes it warily.
We’ve all been on edge since the note was dropped into Sebastian's bag at the movies. The fear that I felt hasn’t fully left but I thought it was a one-off.
How many people could be after me?
Jane and now this person, but I still think it could be Jane trying to fuck with us. Lead us from her trail. Dad is still out searching for her. I haven’t seen him for weeks, and I’ve started to miss him, but I know he needs to do this. He trusts no one else.
Ripping the stark white envelope open, I pull the letter out. My veins turn to ice as I read what’s been written.
You didn’t think you could get rid of me, did you?
I’ll have you back with me soon enough and then it will just be me and you. Like old times.
Like it should have always been if your bitch of a mother hadn’t sent me away.
Do you miss me Little one? Do you miss how I made you feel when I looked after you?
You behaved so well for me.
I love you, Autumn.
You belong with me.
Not them.
I’ve watched you whore yourself out for long enough.
But I’ll give you a chance.
I won't punish you if you stop now.
Stop being a whore for those boys when you have me.
I’ll come for you soon Little One, and when I have you we’ll start our lives together.
FOREVER.
I LOVE YOU.
“No,” I shout, dropping the letter as if it’s burned me, “No.”
“What is it?” Dominic barks, snatching the letter from my shaking hands.
His entire demeanor changes as he reads it, his eyes darkening as he goes rigid.
“I’ll kill him,” He shouts, “I’ll fucking kill him!”
“What the fuck is going on here?!” Atlas’s voice booms from the doorway.
The sight nearly brings me to my knees, and when Tobias and Sebastian run in behind him, the shouting alerting them to whatever is wrong, my legs give out from under me.
“Autumn!” Tobias shouts as my legs fail me, his arms catching me before I hit the floor.
