“I licked you so they can’t have you,” Dominic says like it makes sense.

Noah sighs, shaking his head, “I’m your bestie, chill.”

Autumn’s car pulls up outside just as Zander finishes the picnic basket, and poor Noah starts to fidget nervously with his hands, “What if she rejects me?”

“She didn’t punch you in the face for kissing her, so I’d say you’re good,” Dominic says, clapping Noah on the back.

“Doesn’t mean she wants me,” he mutters, shaking his trembling hands out by his side.

“What’s going on?” Autumn asks as she comes into the house, looking at all of us curiously.

Noah steps forward and, holds his hand out silently for her to take, and leads her out to the garden once she takes it.

She looks back at us, but we smile encouragingly, all of us rooted to the spot as Noah has his moment with her.

Chapter 52

Autumn

‘Stargazing – Myles Smith’

Noah’s hand is clammy in mine as he leads me out into the garden. Tealight candles cover the grass, surrounding a blanket with pillows and blankets. Garden lights cover the surrounding trees, and I can hear music faintly playing from the house.

Noah places the picnic basket on the blanket, leading me to sit down before he joins me.

I take a moment to take him in.

His ginger hair is perfectly styled to look messy, and his bright blue eyes shine under the lights. He’s wearing a cream shirt with black jeans and smirks when I see his crazy pattern socks peek out from his shoes.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been this nervous,” he says, wiping his hands on his pants.

“Why are you nervous?” I ask, feigning innocence even when I can see clearly what this is.

“Are you serious?” he asks, looking around him like I’m silly for not getting it.

“Maybe I want you to say it.”

He takes a deep breath, clasping my hands in his, “I want you, Strange Girl; I want you to be mine.”

“What about the others?” I ask.

“They helped me plan this.” He looks over his shoulder, shaking his head. Following his line of sight, I see all five of my men standing by the windows watching us.

“I can’t believe it,” I laugh, shocked but also not surprised.

A part of me never thought he would act on his feelings for me, and I nervously wonder if the guys are as ok with this as they are acting.

“Answer the boy, Sunshine!” Sebastian shouts, hanging his head out the window.

“So…”

“I mean, you are my Knight,” I say, smiling at him.

“Is that a yes?”

“Yes.”

“Fuck yes!” Dominic whoops as Noah swoops in and kisses me so hard that we fall back onto the blanket, his body covering mine.
