A growling voice appeared at my side. “Gotcha.”

“No!”

The first time I felt was a smack to my hand, forcing me to drop my heels. Someone took my feet out from underneath me as a hand clamped down tightly around my mouth. I screamed as loudly as I could and fought as hard as possible, but the second they had me on my knees I knew I was in trouble. I felt something tightening around my wrists, behind my back. I felt a pair of hands wrap around my ankles before they picked me up, hovering me in midair.

And as a man clad in all black crouched down, his disgusting smile came into view.

A smile I wanted to claw right off his face.

My muffled words were heated. “Let me go.”

The man with one blue eye and one brown eye looked up at someone before his eyes met mine once more.

“It’s her. Do it,” he said.

I struggled against my bonds. “Let go of me. Somebody, help! Help me! Ouch! What the fuck!?”

I felt something sharp poke against my neck before an icy pain rushed through my veins. And before I knew it, I felt my body weakening. I felt my eyes fluttering closed. My body moved effortlessly in midair as my head slumped forward, my eyes connecting with the sand-covered asphalt of the parking lot.

Then, as the sound of something popping open caught my ear, the world went black.
