“Yes?”
My smile widens at his monotone voice. “Do you not like your costume?” I glance down at his outfit and he does the same before rolling his eyes.
I stifle a laugh when he lets out a sigh.
“Sage likes it.”
“Doyoulike it?”
He looks over at me again. “I just told you Sage likes it.”
I tilt my head to the side as I study him. “So you like it because she does?”
He doesn’t answer.
“Is there anything youwouldn’tdo for her?”
His brows furrow as if he can’t understand me. “Why would Inotdo any and everything she wants?”
I don’t get to tell him that’s absurd as my sister walks over, a bright smile on her face. “You look so cute.” She fixes his shirt and a smile grows on his face as he looks between her eyes.
“Beautiful,” he mumbles as he watches her like she’s the only thing he can see and it physically hurts my heart to watch.
I glance over to the couch and August is on top of Hazel. He whispers something in her ear that makes her smile before she buries her face in his neck. Across from them, Vidia sits on Sire’s lap as he helps her apply her lip gloss, his eyes drowning in awe.
I’m surrounded by couples and if I wasn’t so lonely, it wouldn’t feel incredibly suffocating. Jackson suddenly pops into my mind, the perfect day we spent together and how much I miss being so close to him hits me like a truck.
“Okay, so are y’all going to have an orgy or are we going out?” I look around the room and we all look too good to sit here any longer.
“Sire can’t make up his mind,” Hazel says as she looks over at my brother.
“Hazel can’t mind her business,” Sire counters.
The room breaks into a laugh and Hazel opens her mouth to voice a harsh reply, but August distracts her with a kiss.
I turn to Vidia for an answer but she shrugs. “The line for the haunted house is going to be ridiculous if we don’t leave soon.”
I turn to August next and he also shrugs. “I want to go to the party, but you’re adamant about this haunted house, so I guess we can go there.”
Sage remains quiet and I give her a knowing look. “It won’t be that scary, Sage, come on.”
She looks around the room before shaking her head. “It wouldn’t be named the scariest haunted house if it isn’tthatscary. I don’t want them touching me. They like to separate groups.” She takes Liam’s hand and to no one’s surprise, he agrees with her.
The room goes back and forthagainwhen the door rings. I let them debate as I walk off, and when I open the door, Jackson stares back at me.
He smiles down at me before his eyes drop down to my outfit and I feel a smirk creep onto my face as he stares at the cut on the top of my dress, perfectly tugging my boobs.
“My brothers are here,” I whisper and his eyes dart up to mine before he glares down at me.
“Where are you going like that?”
“You look so pretty,” Isabelle greets me before I can reply. She pulls my leg in for a hug and I pat her back.
“I think Daddy agrees.” I smile up at him but his glare doesn’t falter.
“What are you even supposed to be?”
“Diane, Sin of Envy.” I raise a hand as I flaunt my short orange dress. Taking a step back I gesture to the living room. “August is into anime and wanted us all to be the Seven Deadly Sins. Sage got one of her designer friends to make our outfits and they are incredibly on point.”
