“Carter! Take me!”
I moved inside her, thrusting against the back of her, taking her along with me on a swift journey to the peak of pleasure. Spasms jolted through me, heat climbing the tube of my shaft. My orgasm was coming on fast like a runaway force of nature and I knew there would be nothing I could do to hold back.
Just as I lost myself in the glorious fall, Megyn’s orchid pulsated and tightened around me. She flung her arms around me and I clutched her in return, both of us shaking to completion.
CHAPTER30
MEGYN
Iopened my eyes and, unlike the last time I had awoken in his bed, I felt amazing, absolutely devoid of doubts. There was, after all, nothing left to ponder about or worry over. Carter was buying my house, turning it into a sewing shop so I could live out my dreams—while chasing this new dream with him.
Nothing could go wrong.
I scooted closer to his naked body, making note of his erection tenting the sheets. I remembered our wild, passionate sex the night before and throbbed between my legs. He had been so skilled with his tongue, finding and stroking parts of me that I hadn’t even known existed.
A little flushed, my sensitive flower tingling, I slid my arm around his waist. His hot erection pressed on the back of my arm. My heartbeat picked up.
Do men like to be woken up with sex?
I slid my hand over his stomach and down from there, trailing my fingers down the trail o curly sparse hairs. Glancing up at him, I saw him smile, though his eyes stayed shut.
I grew braver and curled my fingers around his shaft. His skin was so soft, stretched over such a hard organ. Faint vertical ridges of vein led up to his head. I explored the path of one with one finger, working higher and higher.
Carter caught my hand and pulled it out from under the covers. He kissed my fingers and grinned at me over my knuckles. “Now I know why I was having such pleasant dreams.”
I giggled, pleased with myself. It really felt like I could do anything with him. “Maybe you should close your eyes again if you want more…”
He laughed and set my hand on his chest. “I’d rather be fully aware so I can enjoy it with you.”
I blushed, but happily accepted that. We’d do it again. I could wait. A little bit, anyway.
Carter wrapped his arm around my shoulders and kissed me. He had a bit of morning breath, but I didn’t mind that, either. Reality was so much better than any fantasy ever could be. I would gladly take the morning breath and musky scent of sex over a rosy, sugar-coated daydream.
Carter sighed a little against me. I tipped my head back to look up at him. “What’s on your mind?”
He made a soft, almost aggravated sound in the back of his throat. “I’m just thinking about the elephant in the room.”
I looked around, frowning, and then realized what he meant. “Oh.”
He chuckled and kissed my forehead. “You’re so cute.”
I smiled for him, though now I also was thinking about the undiscussed elephant loomed over both of us. “Wait until the reporters figure out my house is sold—to you—and I’ve moved in with you.”
Carter hugged me closer to him. “I know the publicity thing is a major deal-breaker for you.”
I closed my eyes and slid closer to him. “I just want to live my life without having to obsess and stress over what people think of me.”
He laughed softly and stroked my shoulder. “Megyn, honey, you are pretty much the only person I know who could be in the spotlight and not have a single flaw to point out. But I do understand. Being a public figure isn’t easy. I’m lucky I get as little attention as I do. I think it’s because I’m much less problematic than a lot of other billionaires.”
I tucked my head to his and clung to him tightly. “Will it blow over soon?”
“It’ll blow over,” he murmured, “eventually. The truth is that the more we try to avoid the whole thing, the greedier people are going to get. They’ll try to get anything they can out of us.”
“What can we do?” I almost cried. “Carter, I don’t want this part of my life to be tainted by all this.”
“Shh,” he soothed, rubbing my back. “Don’t worry. I have a plan. I was going to talk about it yesterday, but we got a little bit distracted.”
Distracted was a bit of an understatement. After we’d had sex, we’d dressed again and gone out to the balcony, where Antonio discovered us. He then prepared a huge five-course meal that lasted hours, topping it all off with champagne and cake for dessert. After a meal like that, the only thing to do was sleep.
