“I’m sorry,” Spencer croaked, his voice thick with a sudden onslaught of tears.

“It’s not your fault, pretty boy,” Logan said quietly. “Ezra and I stayed quiet about your job because we remember how happy you were when you got the emergency room position. We kept hoping your working conditions would get better, but they’re only deteriorating, and you’re deteriorating right along with them. We can’t let it go on any longer.” He pressed a kiss to Spencer’s throat, binding his arms around his husband. “You’re slowly killing yourself.”

Spencer sighed, his hands coming up to grip Logan’s tattooed forearms. But he didn’t try to remove Logan’s arms. Instead, he just held on. “I do it because I want to give you everything you never had growing up,” Spencer softly confessed. My heart broke for Logan and for Spencer for ever thinking Logan wanted more than just him and Ezra. It was so clear to me that Logan would onlyeverwant his two husbands. “Ezra and I—we never wanted for materialistic things. Dad has given you both the parental love you missed out on, but I?—”

“Baby, you give useverythingalready,” Ezra rasped, leaning forward to cup Spencer’s cheeks. “Youare all we need. You could never work another day in your life, and we wouldstillhave everything because we haveyou.”

Tears slipped down Spencer’s cheeks. “But?—”

“No buts,” Logan said, gripping Spencer’s chin to turn his head so they were facing each other. “You’re all I’ve ever needed or wanted, pretty boy. As long as I have you and Ezra, there’s not a fucking thing else I could ever ask for. Please quit, pretty boy. I’m begging. Fuckingpleading. Please quit that fucking job.”

Spencer burst into tears and nodded his head. Ezra moved off his lounger to sit with Logan and Spencer, and together, they held him. I stood, turning to Jaxon to help him up as well. “Come on. Let’s go inside and give them some time together,” I said quietly, not wanting to disturb them.

“Will they be okay?” Jaxon asked quietly once we were leading him into the hotel.

Zeppelin gripped the side of Jaxon’s head and pressed a kiss to his temple. “They’re going to be fine, Jax baby,” he assured him. “Turns out, Spencer’s big ass heart that he got from you was the cause of all of this.”

Jax huffed. “Go fuck yourself, Zep.”

Zeppelin grinned and smacked a loud kiss on his lips. “Why when I can fuck you instead?” With a wink, he tugged Jaxon into the elevator as soon as the doors opened. “I believe we’ve got enough time.”

Jaxon’s eyes heated. I jabbed the button for our floor, then gripped Jaxon’s chin, turning his head to slant my lips across his in a kiss that was definitely inappropriate for public. He moaned into the kiss, his hand coming up to grip my bare waist, his fingertips digging in.

“Yeah, we’ve got time,” I rasped. “You’ve got about ten seconds the moment we’re in our room to get undressed and get on the bed, got me?”

“Yeah,” he choked out, nodding his head. Zeppelin growled and nuzzled his neck. “I got you.”

CHAPTER10

Logan

Icouldn’t believe Spencer had been working himself half to death forme. To give me a life I’d never had. I kept wracking my brain, trying to figure out when I’d ever given him the impression I needed more from him or Ezra, but I couldn’t find a single time I had. I washappywith what I had with them. We could be dirt fucking poor, and I’d still be a happy man because they weremine.

I didn’t need Spencer to be a hotshot doctor that worked more than he was ever at home just so he could give us a big house, lavish vacations, and expensive fucking cars. I just neededhim. He and Ezra were all I wouldeverneed. Fuck, they were all I could everwant. They’d given me a reason to live, to be a better man, tohealand not let my trauma guide me through life.

Leaning back on the lounger, I cupped Spencer’s tear-stained cheeks and brushed my thumbs over his sun-kissed skin, wiping away some of the dampness. “I love you,” I told him, hoping he could hear the sincerity in my voice. “I love you not for what you can give me but just foryou. I need to know you understand that, Spence.”

He nodded and closed his eyes, his wet lashes resting on his cheekbones. “I just… I want to give you the world, Logan. You deserve the world after everything you’ve been through.”

My chest felt too fucking tight, and for a moment, I didn’t know how to make my lungs work. Couldn’t take in the breath I desperately needed to. But when he opened those pretty eyes, looking at me again, I suddenly remembered.

How could this man not realize he and Ezra were my reason for fucking breathing? If not for them, I would have given up on living the day I’d been brutally assaulted by my dead mother’s boyfriend at the time. I would have succumbed to my injuries andgiven up. But I pushed through forthem. Because no amount of physical and mental torment could ever make me want to leave them.

I leaned forward again and dropped one of my hands to grab Ezra’s. He squeezed my hand as he rested his chin on Spencer’s shoulder. “Being married to the two of you and getting to spend the rest of my life with you twoisgiving me the world already, pretty boy. And if you want to give me more, if you want me to be selfish, then I want you to quit the hospital. If you still feel the need to work, find a job that has set hours, where you can get up at a reasonable hour, come home and have dinner with us, and spend time with us on the weekends. If you need me to be selfish, thatis what I’m asking of you.”

Spencer nodded. “I’ll quit,” he promised. “I’ll borrow Dad’s laptop, and I’ll send a letter of resignation in before dinner. Okay?”

I pressed a soft kiss to his lips. “Okay, pretty boy.”

Ezra gripped my chin, turning my head to face him. “Just so we’re clear, wealwayswant you to be selfish with us, Logan. Just as you want to spend every waking moment with us?—”

“I’d split myself in half and bury myself beneath your skins, if I could,” I said, interrupting him, my lips tilting up into a smirk.

Spencer grimaced. “Graphic,” he muttered.

Ezra huffed. “We want to spend every waking moment with you, too. I know we all got lost somewhere along the way, butthisis why communication is important. We need to be more open. Okay?”

Spencer nodded. “I promise I will,” he said, looking at me before turning his head to look at Ezra. Ezra softly kissed him. “I’m really sorry I somehow fucked all this up.”
