Shyam gave his brother the death stare. “Shut up. She’s been through a lot and she needs to recover properly.”

“How about askingherwhat she wants?” I interjected. I stood up and put my hands on my hips, waiting for him to realize how stubborn he was being.

“We’ll discuss this later,” he dismissed me, trying to end the conversation on his terms.

“No. We’ll discuss it now,” I shouted.

Jai snickered and leaned back onto the bed on his side, propping his head up with his hand. He was enjoying the show.

Shyam glared at his brother before addressing me. “Jaan. You need your rest. When you build back your strength, we can discuss going out.”

I glared at him. “Are you fucking kidding me?”

Shyam growled at my persistence. Jai mouthed, “Oh shit,” into the air and shuffled to sit upright to get a better view.

“Watch it,” Shyam barked at me.

“Youwatch it.I know better than you what I’ve been through, and I want to go out.”

“Come on,bhaiya. Please, can we go out?!” Jai chimed in, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Get the fuck out,” Shyam yelled at him.

“Don’t yell at him!” I screamed, rising on tiptoes to match his naturally intimidating stature.

Shyam’s eyes widened in disbelief at how I had spoken to him.

“I’m out,” Jai surrendered. “You all need to either beat each other up or fuck this out. Either way, I’ll leave you to it. Let me know when you decide on dinner,” he said before closing the door, leaving us alone.

Shyam and I stood still, facing off. No one wanted to be the first to give in. I was the one who had been kidnapped and locked away. Despite any guilt he felt over his role in my kidnapping, I was the only one who could know when I was ready to rejoin the world, and I wasn’t going to let him win.

He moved in closer, shadowing me in his presence. The air between us was charged. He was so close I could feel his warm breath on my skin. Goosebumps spread over my neck and chest. If he got any closer, he would be pressed against me.

A low rumble from his throat was my only warning that he was about to attack. Hands grabbed me, holding me tight against his hard body. His lips moved in to devour me. Our kiss was a blur of lips, tongues, and teeth as we licked, sucked, and bit like feral animals in heat.

His lips moved to that special part of my neck that he knew would drive me wild. His big, firm hands slid down my body and under the hem of my dress. He palmed my ass cheeks, pushing my pelvis flush against him in rhythmic strokes. I needed him. Now.

My fingers worked quickly, pulling his t-shirt over his head, and then working the fly of his jeans and pushing them down and off his legs. I pulled my dress over my head and threw it across the room. He chuckled at my haste.

I stood before him in my matching black satin bra and panties that I had found in my drawer this morning. All the underwear provided for me were made of the highest-quality fabrics I had ever seen. Everything was made of fine satin or lace. I would have bet Shyam had a say in what was provided to me.

Hungry eyes roamed my thin frame. I had lost weight while in captivity and hadn’t gained it back yet, and I was self-conscious of how I looked. If he noticed my nervousness, he didn’t let on that he was aware of it. “You’re beautiful.”

I pulled him down to kiss me, my arms clinging around his neck. I backed us up onto the bed, his massive body encasing me against the mattress. His tongue worked down my neck and between my breasts. The ache under my panties was too painful to ignore any longer. I wrapped my legs around his hips, pulling his cock closer to me. I rubbed myself against him, with only our underwear in the way. “I need you, babe.”

He pressed a gentle kiss to my lips. “We shouldn’t. You should be taking it easy.” He tried to move off me, but I held him firmly in place with my thighs.

“Stop treating me like glass. I’m not going to break.”

He exhaled a heavy breath. “You don’t know what it was like for me when I thought you were dead.” His gaze fell to the mattress as if to avoid mine. He didn’t want to show me the sorrow that filled his eyes.

I lifted his chin up, so I could stare deeply into his eyes. “But I’m not and I want tolive. I don’t want to be locked in a tower anymore. I’m finally free and I want to experience everything I’ve missed out on.”

He sighed. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

“I’ll be okay. I promise,” I whispered.

He studied me as if weighing his options in his head. “Tell me to stop the minute it’s too much for you.”
