Her eyes swept over him and she whistled. “Who knew you owned colors, hotshot.”

“We’ll keep it between us.”

“Hell no, come here.”

With his boots hanging off the tips of his fingers he stood beside her as she tucked herself against him. When she lifted her phone, he pressed a kiss to the side of her head and heard the click of the camera. She tipped her head back and he met her lips as she took another picture. CHAPTER 26

Dad

Is that Rafferty Ames?

Pia

Oh sweetheart, you look so happy!

Dad

Where did you find him?

Daisy

He lives in Wildes now. With his son.

Dad

Duncan didn’t tell me that the last time I spoke to him. Well, I knew about the son.

Pia

None of this matters when our girl is happy, Daniel!

Dad

Right as always, my love. I’m glad you found each other, flower girl.

Daisy

Thanks, guys. I am happy. Very happy.

Pia

See, there’s a reason all those dates didn’t work out. They weren’t meant to be. THIS was waiting for you.

Daisy

Pia

Dad

I love you, sweetheart.

Daisy
