“We thought you two must have been in bed or something,” Lu adds, picking up her phone and checking the screen. “Go see if she’s in Lore’s room.”
“The fuck,” I growl, storming up the stairs two at a time to his room, which is unlocked, but she’s not inside. Why the hell would they think she was here?Last I saw Lore, he disappeared with Rose. I check the entire clubhouse and can’t find her. I’m worried now, wondering where she went. Did she see Sarah and me? If she went looking, then she might have.
Fuck.
I try calling her, but she doesn’t pick up.
“I can’t find Ora,” I tell Prez.
He pushes off from the wall where he’s having a smoke outside. “What the fuck do you mean you can’t find my daughter?”
“I was in the gym, came back, and I can’t fucking find her. Fucking anywhere.”
A shiver of unease shoots through me as I head outside. The gate is closed, but there are no prospects manning it.
Danger rushes toward me. “What do you need?”
“Check the cameras,” I tell him, getting on my bike. “I’m going to look for her.”
The gates slide open, and I ride out, searching the area for over an hour. If she left on foot, she would still be walking because we’re in the middle of nowhere. Danger texts and confirms that she opened the gate and left by herself. The prospect at the gate, Omen left to fuck some chick and wasn’t there to stop her—a problem I will deal with later.
I call her phone again, but there’s no answer.
I tell Prez we need men out looking for her.
“What were you thinking, Ora?” I grit out the words quietly, closing my eyes and pinching the bridge of my nose.
She can be angry at me all she wants, but she shouldn’t have put herself in danger.
Two hours later—I found a positive pregnancy test outside the gym.
Three hours later—we get a message from the Isle of Insanity MC.
They have Ora.
“What do they want?” I ask Prez, pacing the room, about to explode. “If they’ve touched a hair on her head, I’m going to kill each and every one of them!”
They’ve been hiding these last few days.
After shooting up the Cobra Club, no one had seen or heard from them. We thought maybe they had left town, but now they’ve got their hands on myone weakness.
Two weaknessesif Ora is pregnant.
And I’ll give anything, including my own life, to get her back.
CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
ORA
No one needs to tell me how stupid I am—I already know.
When I saw the front gate unmanned, I didn’t hesitate. I ran. But in my rush to escape, I forgot one crucial detail—the clubhouse isn’t anywhere near town. I barely made it down the road before a van screeched to a stop. Four men jumped out, and before I could react, they were on me. I kicked, screamed, fought like hell, but it didn’t matter. They dragged me into the van.
Now, I’m tied up, my mouth sealed with duct tape, locked in some godforsaken room with no way out.
There’s only a single bed in the baren area, and no one has spoken to me since they threw me in here. Three of the men who abducted me were the men who came into the bakery that day.
