“So she’s a casual fuck he hangs out with out of the bedroom as well?” Lu summarizes, wrinkling her nose. “They literally came in here looking like a couple on a date.”
“Would you prefer he didn’t treat her nicely?” Bones asks, looking amused.
“No, but I’m sure you can understand why we thought he was taken,” she replies, pursing her lips.
“And now I’ve cleared that up for you,” he replies, winking at her.
“Yes, now we know he sleeps around with the club girls, treats them like his girlfriend, but never commits,” she says flippantly, shrugging. “Good to know. Don’t think he will be getting the best friend tick of approval at this stage.”
“He’s single,” Skull points out, crossing his arms over his big chest.
“And so am I,” I reply, lifting my chin. I can do what I want, and they don’t get to control that.
Twin sets of eyes sparkle with mirth.
“Our lives were so much simpler before you guys walked through our doors.” Lu sighs, picking up her phone and checking it.
“But much more boring,” Skulls adds, and I don’t miss him checking out Lu from head to toe. “How about you? Are you single?”
“Would it matter?” she replies in a dry tone, putting her phone back down.
“Probably not,” the two of them reply in sync.
Lu smirks, glancing between the two. “Enough small talk. Are your dicks the same size?”
“Lu!” I groan, scrubbing my hands down my face.
“Don’t worry, the words small and my dick don’t belong in the same sentence,” Skull mutters.
Bones makes a hum of agreement, then nods toward the staff room. “Take us back there, and we’ll show you.”
The sound of a motorcycle pulling in has their twin smiles disappearing. We’re all staring at the door when War storms in, looking like he’s on a warpath. Maybe that’s how he got his name.
“What the fuckdid I tell you both?” War barks in a lethal tone I never want to hear used on me.
“You said we couldn’t taste her pussy, not her cakes,” Bones replies, heading toward the counter and placing some money down. “Please, give me everything this gets me before he kicks me out.”
I ignore War and the pussy comment.
“How are you going to take it on the bike?” I ask, frowning.
“I can slide them into my saddlebag. It worked perfectly last time,” Bones explains, wincing. “Mostly, anyway. One of the cupcakes didn’t fare so well, but it still tasted amazing.”
The trays we use have individual holders for each item, which probably helps. Lu rings up the order while War comes over tome, pulling me around the counter until I’m standing in front of him.
“They making you feel uncomfortable?” he asks quietly so only I can hear.
I shake my head. “No, not at all. But thank you for checking.”
He reaches out and tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear. He then notices my phone in my pocket and slides it out, holding it to me. “Unlock it. I’m going to put my number in, and if you ever have a problem, you call me. I’ll be here. If I can’t be here, I’ll send one of my men.”
“What makes you think if I have a problem, you’d be the first person I call?” I ask him, arching my brow.
“Ora…”
“War…” I reply, glaring up at him.
“Damn, the sexual tension is thick,” I hear Lu comment, and the twins laugh.
