Page 46 of Truth or Pack

I paused for a second, taking a breath before forging on.

“Second, my website will be under construction to update it and improve it, but don’t worry, your orders are secure. Just bear with me as we improve it to make everything a bit more streamline.”

Then, I grinned, ready to tease them a little.

“And last but not least, I may or may not have some new content ideas to post soon. With a few sexy alphas and a gorgeous beta who you all are going to love."

Knowing my time was running out, I quickly finished with more gratitude.

"Again, thank you for making my dream come true and I'll be back with more really soon. Have a great day."

I shot them a sweet smile before turning off the recording and posting it across my socials after it uploaded on PackVlog. With that, I was free to spend the day with my pack.

My pack. That was still insane to me.

Ash taking over the photoshoot had me a little uneasy, so my plan over breakfast was to get every detail I could from him. I had a feeling he’d give in if I teased him enough. Maybe I should hand over the reins, but I may be a little bit of a control freak when it comes to my business.

A few pings started as I packed up my tripod to head in, but I told myself that I wasn't looking at comments.

At least, not yet.

I had three mates in my cabin making me breakfast, I would be a crazy person if I were to zone out on my phone right now.

Just as I started toward the house, I spotted Holt on the porch, watching over me. His face softened as I approached and I found myself returning the smile without a second thought. It was a far cry different than our past interactions.

“All finished?”

“Yes,” I said, handing over my tripod when he reached for it.

“Good, let me feed my omega.”

A lazy morning with my pack? My Alpha feeding me and relaxing? Sign this omega up.

“They weren’t right for you. I found your pack,” my mother insisted, pulling me into the dining room of their home.

“No, I’m happy. I found my mates,” I protested but she scoffed.

“You said yourself they were bullies,” she shot back, no emotion but annoyance in her tone. Had my mother ever aimed kindness or happiness my way? The answer was a loud and clear, no. Unless she was getting her way, at least, and it wasn’t toward me but herself.

“That was a misunderstanding,” I argued, continuing to pull on her but she was uncharacteristically strong at the moment.

Soon, I was shoved into the room, my mother moving to block the exit, my father standing in the doorway to the kitchens.

A pack sat at the table but they were all wrong. The handsome faces were offset by eyes that held no warmth or emotion at all.

“Ah, our omega. Seems she’s feisty,” the alpha in the center said, looking at his packmates and talking around her. “She’ll just be more fun this way.”

“I’m going nowhere with you,” I growled, ready to fight my way out of here. If my mates were nearby, I’d call for them.

They were in front of me in a second, pushing me into the wall and surrounding me completely. The scent of burnt leaves and suffocating herbs filled my senses and I gagged, unable to stop myself.

“You better get used to it, omega,” the alpha snarled. “Submit.”

His bark had me falling to my knees, head bowed, as they laughed mockingly over me.

When someone touched me, the scream that echoed out was a visceral, primal reaction.

Then I was shaken awake, the dream falling away and a dark room surrounding me. Ash’s sparkling-cherry-and-lime scent hit me and I reached out on instinct, sobbing into his chest as he held me.
