I buried my face in the side of her neck, inhaling her deep cherry and lime scent. “Wanna Smash?”
“I am so tired,” Charlie complained.
“No, like the game?” I laughed.
“Oh, then yes.”
“Dibs on Rosalina.”
These movers really had it out for me. I was sure of it. This was the third time something I needed was on the highest shelf in the house. There was only one alpha who lived here. Why would my purple mug be all the way up on the top shelf? Who put mugs on the top shelf?
Irritated, I climbed up onto the black granite counter on my knees, trying to reach it. Why was this house so tall? These had to be fifteen-foot ceilings, and I could only reach the bottom shelf of the top cupboards in the kitchen.
It was still a stretch, but I’d managed to hook the handle with a finger and slid it down. I was about to catch it when…
“What are you doing?”
I jumped, almost dropping the cup but managing to cradle it to my chest before it could fall further.
I whipped my head around to see a smug-looking Charlie. “What areyoudoing?” I asked. “You shouldn’t scare someone on a counter. I almost broke my favorite cup.”
Though I was mock irritated, when he offered to help me down I took it, wrapping my arms around his neck and my legs around his middle. He spun me around once before setting me on my feet.
“We should have unpacked,” I said. “Everything is too high. Do they think only alphas live here?”
“I think our trip to Bermuda while things were being finished was much better than unpacking, don’t you?”
I blushed. Bermuda was… everything. We got to go to the natural blue hot springs, snorkel with tropical fish, and visit the limestone caves.
Not to mention everything else that happened.
Let’s just say, it was very easy to classify it as a work trip to write off on my taxes.
“You’re right, I’m just annoyed.”
“Well, whenever you need something just call me and I’ll get it.”
I pursed my lips. “I’m perfectly capable of doing things myself.”
“I know, but I like doing things for you. And I like my omega in one piece and not a splatter on the floor.”
I snorted. “I’m fine. You’re being dramatic.”
A gasp left me as Charlie grabbed under my arms and picked me up, pushing me to sit on the counter. I was still in the oversized OVWatch t-shirt I stole from him and my underwear, so the cool stone of the counter hit my thighs quickly.
“Do we have an attitude this morning?” He caged me in, a hand on either side of me. At this level we were face to face, his deep brown eyes boring into mine. He had also just woken up, his brown hair tousled from sleep. Miles of tan skin sat before me with his shirt off, leaving him just in those slutty gray sweats he and Jesse liked to taunt me with.
“That’s my line,” I said before flicking his nose gently.
His hand snapped up and caught my wrist, bringing my hand to his lips and kissing the tips of my fingers. “And I’m stealing it if we aren’t behaving this morning.”
I was hot all over. So rarely did Charlie decide to take control, but apparently he was in the mood this morning, and who was I to stop it?
“Maybe I’m not, what happens to little omegas with an attitude problem, Daddy?”
I could feel the growl that came from his chest deep in my bones. His hands slid up my thighs, squeezing them slightly. “Then I guess you’ll have to be punished instead of getting eaten out on the counter, which was my original thought when I saw your ass sticking out coming around the corner.”
My entire body was flushed. I spread my thighs a bit, knowing I was slightly perfuming as well. “But Daddy, don’t you want a treat this morning?”
