Daniel turned and looked at her for a moment before getting out of the car and coming around to help her out.They walked silently up to the front door.

“Thank you for dinner.”She turned and tried to put the key in the lock, but the shaking of her hand made it hard.

That’s when he noticed her agitation.He gently pulled the keys from her hands.“Here, let me.”

She tried to snatch them back.“No, really.I’ve got it.You can go.”

Daniel paused with the key in the lock and turned toward her.“Are you asking me to leave?”

Her eyes widened.“What?No.I just thought you’d like to go.You seem angry.I thought we had a good time, but I’m not going to bug you about it.”

Daniel shook his head and unlocked the door, swinging it open and ushering her into the house.

He watched her walk away to put her sweater and purse down, and turned, gasping when she ran into Daniel.She chuckled uncomfortably and tried to step back.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to do that,” she said.

Daniel wrapped an arm around her waist, holding her tightly against him.“No, don’t move back.This is exactly where I want you.”

Keira leaned back as much as his grip would allow and looked up at him.“I had the impression you’d rather not be here.”

“Well, that’s the last thing I was thinking.”

“Then why were you so...?”She shrugged.

“Because the closer we got to your house, the more I thought I’d have to find the strength to let you go after I got the kiss you promised me.”

Keira looked confused for a second, then blushed.“The kiss?”

“Remember when we talked last night, and you begged me for a kiss?”

A laugh sputtered out of her mouth.“What!I never begged you for a kiss.”

Daniel’s eyebrow rose.“Are you sure?”

Keira chuckled and nodded her head.“Yeah, I’m pretty sure.”

Daniel’s smile fell, and he lowered his head, stopping a breath away from her lips.“Now that I think about it, it might have been me doing the begging.”

She had time for a small smile before his lips landed on hers.The kiss went on for several moments before he thrust his tongue into her mouth, taking the kiss deeper and pulling moans from both.

It might have been a minute or an hour later before he raised his head to look down at the beautiful woman in his arms.Holy shit.He’d never needed a woman like this before.Her face was flushed, and her breaths came out rapidly like she’d been running.Her lips were red, swollen, and wet, and her eyes were closed.

His body tightened further when she slowly opened her eyes to display the depths of desire she felt for him.“God, Honey, if I don’t leave now, I don’t think I’ll be able to walk away in a few more minutes.”

Keira blinked a few times and felt her shiver before she cleared her throat, taking a small step backward.

“Yes, I think it’s too early for where this is leading,” she said.

“I agree.I’m sorry.”

Keira smiled and ran a hand down her dress as she leaned against the kitchen table.“Thank you again for dinner.”

“How about tomorrow night?”

Keira smiled.“I’d like that.”

Daniel’s eyes swept over her, and he took a quick step toward her before growling and abruptly turning toward the front door.“I’ll be here at six.Will that work?”
