Keira stared at the couple as color and light swirled around them.It looked almost magical, and the love they had for each other was apparent as they stared at one another.

A few more songs passed as more couples started dancing with them.

Keira stood but stopped when a hand took hold of her wrist.

His eyes were full of curiosity.“Where are you going?”

Keira smiled and patted Daniel’s arm.“I’m just going to the ladies’ room.I’ll be right back.”

Chapter Five

Daniel watched as Keiramade her way toward the back, where the bathrooms were.He turned to Logan’s dad and resumed their discussion.It was several minutes later when he glanced toward the restrooms, and his gut instantly tightened in need as heat raced through his veins when he caught sight of Keira.She stopped at a table, talking with one of the women.A smile crossed his face when Keira threw her head back laughing at what one of them said.

“Jesus, you have it as bad as my son does, Daniel!”

Daniel glanced quickly at Logan’s dad, but his gaze raced back to where Keira stood.“What are you talking about?”

Logan’s dad chuckled.“Never mind.”

Daniel stood as she walked up to the table.“Will you dance with me, Keira?”

“I’d love to.”

Daniel pulled one of her hands down into his and placed the other low on her back.He moved them slowly across the dance floor without saying anything.It was a comfortable silence, and he liked that she didn’t feel the need to talk all the time.He turned his head and frowned in shock when a large hand landed on his shoulder.

Logan and Layla stood grinning.“May I cut in?”

Layla laughed.“And then I’ll cut in.”

Daniel chuckled and released his hold on Keira, handing her off to Logan before taking Layla in his arms.His eyes followed the other couple across the dance floor and smiled again when Keira laughed at something Logan was telling her.His head jerked back to the woman in his arms when she loudly cleared her throat to get his attention.Daniel shook his head as a flush covered his face, and he chuckled at the huge smile on Layla’s face.

“So ...you seem to have an interest in my sister?”

Daniel rolled his eyes.“Layla...”

Layla shook her head and chuckled.“You don’t have to answer that, but I will tell you I’m extremely happy you guys have hit it off.”
