He kissed the tears that slid down her cheeks, trying to distract her from the pain. “I wish I could feel the pain instead,” he whispered.

“I know,” she told him. And she knew he would if he could.

He pulled his hips back, and then pushed back in slowly, moving at a pace that would be more comfortable for her.

Slowly the discomfort subsided and the pleasure started faintly. Every time he pulled out, he brushed against something inside her that sent a wave of pleasure up her spine. It was a different type of pleasure though. One that made her feel full, completely connected with Valerio.

“You’re doing so good, baby.” He kept his slow, steady pace.

“Go quicker,” she said breathlessly.

He listened, gradually building his pace. She let out a louder moan, her eyes falling closed when the pleasure intensified. She lifted her legs up, wrapping them around his waist. In this position, his dick slid in deeper, hitting that little spot over and over again.

They fit perfectly, as if she was made just for him. He thrusted into her harder, making her release moan after moan.

“Harder,” she grunted.

Valerio let out a breathless laugh. Still, he obliged. His hips slammed against hers, balls slapping against her ass. He reached down, playing with her clit while he fucked her.

She let out a cry, digging her nails down his back. She had never felt anything like this in her life, not even when he fucked her with his tongue or his fingers. The orgasm snuck up on her, making her lose her mind when the pleasure crashed through her body.

Valerio leaned against her forehead, fucking her through her orgasm. Her eyes locked on his, leaving them in a moment of disbelief, of something new that connected them for the rest of their lives. And when he came inside of her with a loud groan, marking her as his, she knew she was tied to him forever.

They both let out heavy breaths, unable to move from their place of tangled limbs. Luna was the first to connect her lips to his, putting every drop of emotion that she felt into it. One emotion shined above all the others, but Luna couldn’t admit it. No, she wasn’t ready for that yet.

And when he pulled out of her, she didn’t expect to feel so empty.

“Let me clean you up,” he said, attempting to get up.

Luna shook her head. “No, stay or at least let me come with you.”

He grinned, lifting her with him. They made their way into the bathroom, allowing Luna to use the restroom while Valerio took ample attention to cleaning her up. She could already feel the soreness between her thighs.

She held on to him tightly, even when he went into the kitchen to grab them some water and then carried them back into bed. He tucked the blanket over them, pulling her into his arms impossibly close.

He stroked her back, lulling her slowly to sleep. “Are you going to sleep tonight?” she asked, her voice thick with exhaustion.

He pressed a kiss to her head. “I think I will. You can go to sleep, I know you’re tired.”

She let out a small laugh. “Whose fault is that?”

With that her breathing evened out, lulling her into a deep sleep. Not a single nightmare came.

TWENTY-FIVE

VALERIO

Valerio stirredawake to the chirping of the birds outside and the sunlight streaming into his eyes from the crack in the curtains. He had no idea when he fell asleep, but being next to Luna must have relaxed his mind enough to actually knock out. She lay entirely on top of him, her hair wild and tickling his chin. A grin appeared in an instant once he heard her snores.

He couldn’t remember the last time he had woken up feeling completely content, but he could get used to the feeling. All he could think about was the night before. Luna running in the woods begging him to catch her, letting him fuck her into oblivion, marking her as his with the necklace; it was the best fucking birthday he had ever had.

He looked down, pushing her hair from her face. He wanted to devour her just because she wanted everyone to know he belonged to her. That feeling alone made him dizzy, exhilarated with a shot of adrenaline swimming through his body.

Never in his life had he had a reaction like this with anyone or anything, but now his body only reacted to Luna and her call. She was his puppet master, pulling the strings of his body, mind, and soul. The power she held over him should have made him fearful and should have made everyone else in the world fear itbecause there wasn’t a single thing he wouldn't do for her if she simply batted her eyes at him.

He had waited twenty-four years, and all he could say was that it was completely worth it. Was he addicted now? One hundred percent. There was no question about it. Luna was his favorite drug, and he would destroy his life just to have one more hit of her.

He hardened under her, cursing to himself. Was that all it took? One thought of Luna and he was at half-mast. He couldn’t help himself; he was a man in love.
