Trigger was laughing, but back to staring at his phone again. He held onto it like a teenage boy hung onto his dick.

I grinned, but turned back to Judas when he cleared his throat. He looked down at the floor. “What do we know about that fuck from the bar, Trig? Give me something so I can fucking wipe the floor with his ass.”

A normal person, when faced with the suggestion of something as serious as murder would sit up and have an adult conversation. Not Trig though. “Spencer Ferrera. Came up from Colombia with his own crew, undertook a pretty systematic hostile takeover of the cartels and part time runners in this area and right back to the city.”

Cain growled. “Explains their current push at the edges of our territory. And their new flesh trade direction. The Cartel was fucking scum before, but at least they weren’t dealing in fucking women.”

Judas nodded, but motioned for Trigger to continue. “My contact couldn’t find out much more about him from his time in Colombia, but mostly because people down there are too scared to even speak his name. I assume he’s the Colombian equivalent of Bloody Mary or something.”

Judas pinched his nose. “Tell me something good, Trigger.”

Trigger frowned. “Like what? Like, oh, you know, that I found out where they are keeping the women they treat like cattle?”

Cain pushed off the wall and pounced toward Trigger lightning fast. But Trigger was quick for a fucking human, and he rolled before Cain could put his fist through Trigger’s face. That kid was fucking asking for trouble sometimes.

“Cain!” Judas barked. Trigger was on his feet, both hands out.

Cain whirled on Judas. “There are women out there fucking hurting, and he’s showing off?” He cut a look that was both enraged and disappointed. Ouch. That look would slay a man.

Trigger looked somewhere between hurt and fucking pissed too. “Calm your fucking balls, man. I literally got the text before Judas started grilling me about Ferrera. I am in this Club too. I swore the same fucking oaths as you did. Fuck, I spend more time with the girls over in Apocalypse than you fuckers combined. I knew Bambi. She’s sweet and kind in a fucking den of debauchery. I don’t want her fucking sold off to be used for the rest of her life either, so fucking pull your head out of your ass.” He flexed his jaw, and I could tell he wanted to hit Cain. Hell, I’d give him a free pass to do it. “You aren’t the only one who gives a shit about those women, Dickhead. Just because I’m not staring broodingly out the fucking window or pacing around growling like an animal,” he tilted his head at Goliath, “doesn’t mean I don’t care.”

Well, fuck. Fair enough then. Cain and Trigger stared off for a little bit longer. Then Cain launched himself across the space quicker than my eyes could follow, grabbed Trigger and pulled him into a hug. He moved fast for a fucking giant, and Trigger, while he was tall and lean, was dwarfed by my Brother. Trigger struggled for a bit, until he realized he was being hugged and not attacked. Actually, I was fucking surprised too. Cain was soft as fuck, but he wasn’t much of a hugger.

He slammed his meaty fist into Trigger’s back a few times, probably dislocating his shoulder blade. “You’re a good man, Trig. You’ll be a fucking great President one day. Sorry for going off on you like that.”

He let go and Trigger stumbled back, looking at Cain like he’d been body-snatched. “Getting laid on the regular is fucking with you guys. Honestly, what the fuck? Cain is hugging me. Goliath is fucking smiling and laughing. Solomon hasn’t banged a sweet butt on the bar in like six months.” He turned to Judas, waving a hand in his general direction. “And you are all like…” he flapped his hand. “Honestly, if this is what love does to a man, fucking count me out. Its fucking scrambled your brains like eggs.”

I tried to keep the laugh inside. I didn’t want to prove his point, but it was fucking hilarious. Soon, the laughter spilled across my lips, and I curled in on myself as I laughed harder. “Fuck me. The look on your face when Cain hugged you,” I hissed in laughter. “Gold. Fucking gold.”

Trigger’s gaze shot to Judas, as he waved a hand in my direction. “See what I mean?”

Judas was trying not to grin, which just made it worse. “Are you done, Sol?”

“I’m sorry,” I gasped, trying to suck down lungfuls of air. “Sorry. Please. Keep going.”

Goliath was shaking his head at me, but the corners of his lips were turned up.

“Cain’s right. You did good, Kid. You’ll make a great Pres one day.” He looked between Goliath and Cain. “Want to undertake a liberation mission?”

They both sat up like retrievers called to heel.

“Just you two. In and out. Leave no fucking witnesses and leave nothing behind. I want to dance on the ashes of their fucked up Cartel, and we’ll start there.” He looked at Trigger. “Pay your hacker or spook or source or whatever the fuck he is. Pay him well enough that he stays with us and doesn’t go over to the Cartel. A kid that good needs to be with us or he’s a liability, you feel me?”

Trigger waved a hand. “He’s good, man. He didn’t even charge for the info. He wants this fucking shit shut down as much as we do. I trust him with my life.”

Judas stared at Trigger, before nodding. “I trust your gut. But pay him anyway.” Finally he turned toward me. “Go home. Fuck our girl so she doesn’t suspect we are going to do something damn stupid.”

The grin that spread across my face was so wide, I thought it would make my cheeks crack. “Yes Captain, my Captain.”

Trigger just looked between us all, shaking his head in stunned disbelief. “There is something really wrong with you fuckers.”

I just continued to grin. He didn’t understand yet because he was young and wanted to stick his dick in everything with a pulse. But one day he’d find a girl who would make him fall to his knees and beg, and I’d be right there ready to tell him ‘I told you so’.

Right now though? I was going to go home, get on my knees and do some worshipping of my own.
