“Before you put me over your knee and paddle my ass. I wish you would.” He placed his finger in his mouth and twisted his body back and forth.

“Let’s get out of here before...”

“Before you have your cock up my tight little hole.”

“Stop it!”

“I’d never tell you to stop. There will never be a safe word with me—”

“Because there willneverbe anything between you and me unless it’s professional.”

“Why? Are you afraid you’re going to like me? I’m looking for a forceful man like you. One that will stop me from getting into trouble. I have no control.” We stepped into the hallway and then into the elevator.

When we reached the bottom floor, the door opened, and Charles was standing so close I could feel his breath on my ear. “Where are we going?” he whispered after leaning against my back.

“To that bar.”

“For a drink? Cool.”

“No. My future husband owns that place.” Charles was matching each one of my steps as he strode beside me heading in the direction of Pluck the Cherry.

“Does he have money? Because I have lots.” I turned to him and stopped and looked at Charlie. He waggled his eyebrows. “More than I know what to do with—”

“More than you have brains.” I took off, but he caught up with me.

“That hurt, you know. I wouldn’t treat you like that. You’re vicious.”

“I thought you liked a hard man.”

“Yes, in bed, but not one that would destroy my self-worth.”

“You’re doing that all by yourself. You don’t need me for that and furthermore—” I decided to lay off. He didn’t need me affecting his confidence. Life would take care of that.

“Why would you do things, and don’t take the time to think things through? You knew you didn’t want to be committed to three seasons on that television show, especially when you’ve never done a series before. You’re just throwing away money.”

“You never answered my question. Does your boyfriend have money?”

“Not the kind you have, but then money won’t cure everything. And you can’t buy everyone and everything you want, Charles.”

“I bought you.” I stopped close to the entrance of Pluck the Cherry and scoffed at him.

“What did you say?”

“I said I bought you. I asked Max for a young hungry attorney, and he flew me over in his private jet to your office. Tomorrow you will get a bonus check, and when you’ve worked your magic as Max likes to say, you will get another check. And if you find that you don’t want to be with that barkeeper, then I will be waiting for you, and you can paddle my ass, but I like to be fucked and choked at the same time.”

“What? Have you lost your mind? Don’t you know that that kind of action is dangerous.”

“Living is dangerous. Where that director is filming in the jungle, now that’s dangerous. I discovered I could be eaten by a boa constrictor in my tent at night. That’s why I don’t want to go back. Let some desperate hungry actor have that part. I’d rather let a man who I find attractive hold me down, place his arm around my throat, where I can have the best orgasm of my life. It really isn’t any fun doing it alone. Now don’t tell me you’ve never done that with your partner—"

“No I haven’t—”

“Then you haven’t lived unless you’ve been whipped and fucked and—”

“And nothing. Put a stop to that conversation because I don’t want my fiancé to know that I have a client like you.”

“What is he going to do? Will he want to join us?” Charlie smiled and raised his eyebrows several times.

“Enough! He’s not into that. So, don’t say another word about that shit in his presence.”
