I park and glance around until I notice the door to the factory is standing open. I grab my phone from the seat and close the door. Jogging through the parking lot, my eyes dart around the area, staying alert just in case Faith’s Alphas are somewhere out here. I don’t know how she got in but at least in here she is safe.
As soon as I walk into the building, I know something is wrong. Then the door slams shut behind me. Turning, dread pooling in my stomach, I check the door to find that I am locked inside. I reach into my pocket and grab my security card. “Come on,” I whisper as I tap it in frustration on the panel beside the door. The light stays red as it beeps in error. I grow impatient, pissed off that I walked in here so willingly to save my sister without having precautions in place as I tap the card frantically.
“Shit,” I whisper. I know I need to tell Knight and the others where I am. At least then they can come and get us out of here once I find Faith. They are going to be furious.
Me: Knight, I need you to come to Smooth Bourbon. Faith called. She ran from Derrick and the others. She’s scared, and I didn’t hesitate to come find her. Now I’m locked inside the factory.
Knight: Wait? What? Mercy, you should not have left without us. It’s too dangerous. Fuck! We are coming.
Me: I know I should have waited, but I needed to go and search for her. I am not letting them drag her back into the hell they call pack. You can punish me later. *wink*
Knight: Now is not the time to be cute, Mercy Smooth. If you find Faith, don’t try to leave, stay where you are until we get there. I mean it!
Me: OK.
I wait for his reply, but it doesn’t come. I can only assume they are all running through the trees trying to get back to the house as fast as they can. Until they arrive at least I can go in search of Faith and find us somewhere safe to wait.
As I’m sliding my phone into my back pocket, the sound of a distressed whimper has me turning.
“Faith!” I shout, turning to look around the distillery in alarm.
The lights are dim in here; there’s only the energy saving emergency lighting that remains on when the factory is not in use, so at least I can see where I am going. There are so many nooks and hidden corners in here, she could be hiding anywhere. Turning in a hurry, locked door forgotten, I take off to find her.
The whimpers suddenly turn to cries, then screams, followed by the sound of laughter. My blood runs cold. They’ve found her. Oh God, they’ve found her. I break into a panicked run. I have no plan, but I will fight with all I have. I cut through the rows and rows of aging barrels, the sweet fragrances coming from them hits my nose, making my stomach turn. It all feels wrong. They are tainting this place, tainting my memories of my happy place with the screams of my sister’s pain.
My heart beats wildly as I find a metal handle used to push flat trolleys along the factory floor. I pick it up, my grip punishing as I use it to ground myself. I have to help her. I let the mantra be my driving force as I weave around the tall copper stills near the far end of the factory, my weapon ready.
The garbled screams become louder the closer I get to the exit door as I make a sharp turn around another still. The sudden appearance of my sister and two of her Alphas has me stumbling back in horror. Derrick stands over my sister with a leash, a fucking leash in his hands as he slams his cock down her throat. My sister squeals and cries as her other Alpha, Chasson, has her dress pulled up around her waist as he takes her from behind. I stand in shock, briefly stunned by their actions. I can hear a mixture of their laughter and cries of pain from my sister as they notice me standing there. My grip on my weapon fortifies me. I can’t afford to show weakness right now. I can fall apart later knowing I got my sister to safety.
“Look, Faith, your sister has come to save you,” Derrick mocks, making me grit my teeth so hard I swear I feel a painful crack.
Derrick yanks the chain, truly enjoying my reaction as I watch in terror as the collar squeezes the sensitive flesh of her neck. Faith gags, making a strangled noise as she frantically tries to grab the collar, as Derrick groans in pleasure. The slapping of skin on skin makes me close my eyes tight. Chasson moans loud, a slapping noise has my eyes springing open in time to see them toss my sister to the floor while they spill their seed all over her. She does nothing, says nothing. Her tear-streaked, bruised face turns to me. Hurt, humiliation, and sorrow play out on her face. I am shocked, stunned, so traumatized for her. I will never forget what I just witnessed. The sight of my sister, a crumpled broken heap on the floor, sends white hot fury through me.
I don’t think of the consequences as I release a scream so loud it can rival a banshee. Raising the metal handle I take off toward Chasson, aiming for his neck. My sudden shout of rage has him turning to me, his eyes wide in surprised shock.
“I will kill you. You cruel, demented, asshole!” I yell, as he barely sidesteps me, shoving his limp dick back into his pants, but not before I cut a huge gash across his face in retribution.
He shrieks as he grabs his cheek. “You fucking bitch!” he shouts, as blood seeps through his fingers. I throw caution to the wind as I turn and swing the handle at him once more, possessed by the need to protect my family. Chasson steps out of the way of my swing, so I kick out my leg, hitting him so hard in the dick he falls to his knees. A squeak escapes him as he drops, one hand going to cup his junk. I hope he never cums again, disgusting rapist bastard!
Faith cries out in pain, making my head snap in her direction. Derrick has the leash, wrapping it slowly around his hand, reeling her in like a fish on a hook, strangling her with each twist of his wrist as she claws at the collar.
“Drop the fucking handle, Mercy,” he says vehemently as he yanks Faith into his chest, her back to his front. My sister’s eye bulge, her brown skin reddening by the second as she fights to breath. My instincts tell me that I have to let the handle go or risk him hurting her more than he already has.
I drop the handle, the metal clanks against the concrete floor, signaling the end of my rage fueled attack. I immediately feel like a failure. I know things will only get worse for her, but at least I got the pleasure of bringing one of them to their knees.
“Good girl. There’s hope for you yet.” Derrick sarcasm makes me growl as Chasson groans on the floor, crawling towards his packmate to get away from little ole me. As soon as Chasson reaches Derricks side, he struggles to a standing position as he attempts to hold his bleeding face. I can’t help it. Even in my dire situation, I am delighted by the sight.
Derrick tosses my sister to the floor in front of him. Faith gasps and coughs as she sucks down air.
“Ah, I knew you would come. I knew you would come running to save your sister,” Derrick says as he steps over her, like she’s nothing but discarded trash. “It took you so long, I had to entertain myself.” He gestures over his shoulder with his thumb, like assaulting my sister is his idea of fun. I quickly look down to where I dropped the handle, wishing I was fast enough to strike true.
“Let her go, now.” I grit my teeth and growl again, taking a step toward him, readying myself to fight once more. I might not win, he may even break me, but I will fuck his ass up for life. I want to cut his dick off and feed it to him. I can drum up all kinds of cruel torture for this asshole.
“Oh, I will do no such thing. Let me remind you that my darling Faith belongs to us. She ismine!” he shouts, taking a step closer, but I refuse to step back. “This is all she’s good for now. My sweet little cum dumpster. It’s not like she’s worth anything else. I have a useless Omega who’s just as defective as you. Nothing but an infertile bitch!” he roars and my sister whimpers, curling up into a ball out of fear as Chasson looms over her.
My heart breaks further. My eyes quickly land on my sister, taking in her tears of pain and humiliation. It reignites my fury and frustration at this entire system. I don’t see the other Alpha, Mal, but he could be anywhere. I angle myself so my back is protected by the still, just in case, but keep my eyes on Derrick.
“Let. Her. Go. Now. If you don’t want her, let her go. Find someone else to abuse!” I roar, fighting back my own tears, but I won’t let him see me cry. I will gouge out his eyes first.
