That was a serious swear for a wolf. He could break it, but the Moon Goddess would punish him. I shivered. I didn't want to be punished ever again, and definitely not by the Moon Goddess! Spring must have really meant what he said, so I decided I would trust him.

I wrapped my arms around his neck. My eyes were full of tears, but I was happy. How weird was that? I sighed, worried about all these emotions clogging up my chest and throat.

He laid his chin on the top of my head and also sighed. Maybe he was all clogged up, too.

That's right, little one. From now until forever, we'll always be together.

"Hey, that rhymed!" I giggled. "Bubba, Bubba! I got a new wolf and he is so cuteandsuper smart! I'm a lucky boy!"

I fell asleep again on the drive home.

Ash didn't complain or tease me about it. In fact, he was humming happily to himself when I woke up as he opened my door.

"Can I carry you?" he asked with a grin and held out his arms, and a sense ofdeju vumade me shake my head.

"I think you'd carry me everywhere all the time," I yawned as I stretched.

"I would, cupcake. I should get one of those sling things like Mom has for the pups. I could tuck you right in against my chest or back and have you with me all the time."

I giggled at the idea, which made him giggle, too. He picked me up and sat me on his hip and carried me into our house.

"I'm going to pop in and check on Wyatt," he said as he put me on my feet in the kitchen. "Make sure he didn't get suffocated under a mountain of documents."

"Okay. I'll see what we have to make for dinner," I offered.

"We can always order something if you don't feel like cooking."

"No, I want to." I stopped and thought about it. "How about, if I don't find something Iwantto make, we'll order?"

"Okay, princess. Link us if you need us. Cole should be back soon."

"Yay!" I smiled as I opened the fridge. "And Mason said he'd be home later this evening, so I'll just be missing my dragon tonight."

"The rest of us will make sure you don't even notice he's gone," Ash teased.

Coming up behind me, he slid his hands under my waistband and inside my panties to squeeze my bare bum. I gasped as my insides tightened and my toes curled.

"This is mine again tonight," he rumbled roughly, "so take another nap if you need to after dinner."

"Why wait?" I whispered with more boldness than I could usually manage.

"Oh, I would, princess, but Wy knows we're home and he's demanding I help him. Besides, Tristan and Matthew are on their way to wait for their witches, and I don't want to be interrupted when I finally get to plow into your sweet ass."

"Ash," I moaned and leaned back against his chest. I clenched my thighs together to ease the instant ache in my core.
