"You have a point," I agreed with a nod.

We walked into the gallery and I watched her face, entertained by the bright curiosity in her eyes.

"So all of these pieces are for sale?" she asked.

"Yep! Let me know if you see something you'd like."

"But how do I know how much they are?" She turned to me with a frown on her pretty, plump lips.

"Baby, cutie, Posy, my love, you do not worry about the price. If you see one you like, I will get it for you," I said while fighting the urge to show her the painting I'd done especially for her and Lark.

After ten minutes of looking around, she squeaked and dragged me over to a painting.

"Look! It's your wolves! Sid, Quartz, Topaz, and Garnet," she pointed at each one, "and there's Granite hiding behind Sid! That's crazy! How did some artist know their coat patterns so exactly?"

She bounced up and down on her toes and clasped her hands under her chin, and I had to bite back a grin.

Who going to win this bet?I teased Gran.

Just wait for it.

Hey, no cheating and giving her or Lark a clue,I warned him.

I not need to, he taunted.

"Can I have it? Please, please, please?" she begged.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, baby. Look. The sign says sold."

Now who cheating?Gran snorted.

I thought Posy was going to fall to the floor, her shoulders dropped so far, and I couldn't take it. I opened my mouth to confess when she squealed and threw her arms around my waist.

"Wyatt!Youpainted it! Those areyourinitials!" She squeezed me hard, probably as hard as she could, and I grinned. "You're teasing me about it being sold, aren't you?"

"Yes and no. Itissold - to you. It's a gift for you and Lark."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love it! It's so beautiful and perfect!" Suddenly, she gasped, wiggled away from me, and started scanning the rest of the wall. "Oh! Does that mean you have other paintings for sale here, too?"

Laughing, I told her to look for herself, and she quickly found my other pieces and made a fuss over each one.

"Big secret reveal number one," I murmured, blushing a bit at her compliments. "My brothers don't know I sell my art."

"What? Why?"

I shrugged, which I knew wasn't an answer, but how could I tell her I was afraid they'd mock or tease me for it? I was theworstat teasing others - and the easiest to be hurt by it.

"If you can't take it, don't dish it. Otherwise toughen your heart up because it's going to take a lot of hits," Mom warned me a thousand times, but I didn't listen - and I paid for it.

"Really, Wyatt, one day, you'll have art in a museum," she said as we left, her painting packaged and held firmly under my arm. "You should be proud of yourself, not hiding it from the guys."

"What if they—" I hesitated to say the truth, then went with, "What if they think it's dumb?"

"How often do you make fun of Jayden for playing the guitar or reading?"

Damn!Granite giggled.Mate not pull punches!
