"You brought an outfit for Posy to wear after she shifts, right?" Jay asked. "And the deck of cards?"

"I broughtsucha pretty outfit for Posy to wear, and Sid made sure I had the cards." I shifted Lark to lay her head in the center of my chest so I could cuddle her. "I got alarms set on my phone, and I checked in with Angel Bel Aire to make sure everything was set for tonight and tomorrow."

"Great. Then I'll leave you to it. Have fun." He came closer and dropped a kiss on the top of Lark's fuzzy head. "Love you both."

"I love you, too, dude!" I grinned, my heart ready to burst.

"ImeantPosy and Lark," he chortled, "but yeah. You, too, brother."

He punched my bicep lightly, then took off.

"And now there's just you and me, pretty little doll," I crooned. "We are going to have so much fun!"

Yes, yes, yes!she chirped, and her tail wagged against my stomach, tickling me and making me giggle again.

Posy

Ash and Lark played for a good two hours before she flopped onto her side and fell asleep, much to his amusement.

He carried her, the picnic blanket, and a cloth bag to the park's family bathroom and left me to shift. I did and found that he'd brought me a darling little outfit of a blue and white striped shirt, a pair of white overall shorts, and my favorite pink slip-on sandals.

Wyatt called them the Pepto Bismol Shoes, but I loved them. Not only were they cute, they were comfy.

And, cherry on top, Ash was wearing a matching outfit! The only difference was, that instead of overalls, he had on white shorts. Even his slides were "Pepto" pink, and I jumped up and down with a squeal when I realized we were twinning.

He combed my hair and did it up in half-braids, which looked super cute, then took a bunch of selfies of us as we did goofy poses around the park.

"And now, princess, it's time for you to choose your own adventure!" he chirped.

Explaining how our date was going to work, he pulled out a box of playing cards, and I wassoexcited to see what Lady Luck had in store for us!

The first card I pulled out was for skateboarding. I was a little nervous when we got there and I saw so many concrete shapes. All I could foresee was a dozen scrapes and bruises. Ash came prepared, though. The back of his SUV was packed with every supply imaginable.

He dug out a cloth bag that held a purple helmet and matching knee and elbow pads. My skateboard, he was proud to show me, had beautiful flowers all over the bottom including several pansies, and I knew he'd had it custom made for me.

"We don't have to stay forever at any of these places," he said. "We can go whenever you get tired or bored."

"Is skateboarding something you really like to do? And I don't mind learning something new. It looks like a lot of fun, although I probably won't be any good at it."

"Cupcake, you are going to kill it! All you really need to have is good balance. And, yes, I like skateboarding. Any sports really. In high school, Wyatt and I were co-captains of the football team, and I was the quarterback. I was also the captain of the basketball team while he was the captain of the wrestling team."

"Make sense," I laughed. "You both are so active and athletic, it's no surprise."

He got me into the safety gear, gave me a few quick pointers, and held my hand as I stepped on the skateboard. He was right about the balance. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't that hard to stay on. I figured out how to make it go, too, and he praised me to no end.

"All right," I told him after about half an hour, "now let me see you do some tricks. I can tell you're busting to, and I assume that's what all these funny concrete shapes are about."

He laughed and said they were. Then he amazed me with some of the things he could do, zooming down one steep bowl and going out the other side, catching the rim with one hand and keeping the board on his feet to come back down. He really was the most athletic guy I ever met. He wasn't even breathing hard when he came back to me with a huge grin on his face.

We spent another half an hour there as he did a few more tricks, then we decided it was time to try something else. This time, I drew the arcade card. I had no idea what an arcade was, and he jumped out of his shoes in his excitement to show me.

No, heactuallydid, his slides flying across the grass, and Lark and I cracked up as he ran after them.
