We all grinned as we saw Thoreau racing toward us with Archer and Wayne hot on his heels. Even from here, I could hear Archer's angry voice fussing at him to stop running while Wayne just ran after him with a wide smile.
Archer is so much like Cole. I shook my head.Little dude needs to chill and enjoy.
Wayne a lot like you, too, Granite said.
I know, wolf.
I loved all of our younger brothers, but Archer and Wayne had a special place in my heart. They might be magnets for mischief, but they were fun as hell to hang out with, liked all the things I did, and were just good kids.
Thoreau's yelling drew a lot of attention our way, and several people around us began to murmur and laugh when he threw himself into Emerson's arms while screaming, "Mama!"
"Chill, Reau," Angelo laughed as Emerson caught the kid and hugged him. "Is something wrong?"
"No, Papa! 'M just happy! 'M a happy boy, Mama!"
Goddess, his big, innocent eyes just drew you in and ate you up with their cuteness!
"Listen, Reau," Emerson muttered, "call me Bubba in public."
"You're not my mama anymore?" Thoreau's bottom lip quivered, and Emerson sighed.
"Of course I am, but hu— People don't understand a boy calling a grown man Mama, okay?" Emerson patted Thoreau's head before releasing him from the hug. "Why doIhave to be mama, anyway?"
"Because Papa said so." Thoreau shrugged and lost interest in the conversation as he attacked Posy in a hug.
"Oh, did he?" Emerson narrowed his eyes at Angelo, who looked like a deer in the headlights before giving him a big cheesy grin.
Emerson stalked closer and wrapped his huge hand around Angelo's throat. Leaning down so they were eye to eye, he raised one eyebrow.
"We'll continue this discussion later tonight, little mate."
"Is that so,orsacchiotto(teddy bear)?" Angelo smirked.
"Yes," Emerson growled, then smashed his mouth on Angelo's.
"Hey, stop that! There are little ears and eyes present!" Archer snapped.
Turning, I saw he had his hands pressed over Thoreau's ears and Wayne had his hands covering the boy's eyes.
"Don't worry, Chi-Chi," Thoreau giggled. "I seelotsof love between Mama and Papa at home!"
"We're going to go eat now," Posy said. "Do you all want to join us?"
What's with her and inviting others into our dates?Ash grumbled in the link.
She has a heart that can hold the whole world,Jay replied.
We nodded in agreement and just accepted that these five were going to crash the rest of our date.
At least we're taking her home alone, I smirked.
Thank the Goddess for that!my brothers echoed each other.

Having the others join us made everything that much more fun, although I wasn't sure my mates were okay with me inviting them along. We were on a date, after all, and I kind of thought that meant it was supposed to be just us.
