They not care,Lark assured me,as long as you happy. That all they want.

Smiling, I held Cole's hand as Thoreau claimed the other and let them lead me to the food area. There were so many choices and the boys made sure I understood all of my options before asking me what I wanted.

After a moment of thought, I went with a corn dog, since I'd never had one, onion rings, and a cherry slushie. Wayne and Thoreau told me the best part of fair food was the desserts, and I was looking forward to that.

We had just sat down at a couple of tables when I saw two familiar faces approaching the picnic area.

"Landry!" I stood up and waved my hand high in the air. "Grace! Come join us!"

"Hey, luna!" Landry set a tray of food down on the empty end of the table, then turned to Grace and took the two drinks from her and put them down, too. "Alphas. Beta. Boys."

Grace smiled at me shyly, then blushed as Landry put his arm around her waist and dropped a kiss on top of her head. We all greeted the two of them, then Landry helped Grace sit next to me and he sat next to her. He arranged her food and drink in front of her just like Mason and Jay had done for me, and I bit back a smile.

"Reau, where's Spring?" Landry asked as he demolished a chili cheese dog.

"Oh, yeah!" My eyes widened. "I just realized he's not with you!"

"Aw, we tried bringing him the first night," Thoreau said. "He hated it! It was too busy and he couldn't go on any rides, anyway."

"And Reau gave him too much junk food and he got sick," Wayne snickered.

"He's off on a run with Bay tonight," Emerson added, and I remembered Bay was Crew's wolf.

"Good that they're reconnecting. I'm sure the beta wolves have missed him," Landry commented.

Grace and I chatted quietly as our boys talked a little business, and she told me about their new house and how much she was enjoying all the new experiences here at Five Fangs. I told her about my series of dates and how I was also experiencing a lot of firsts. She was interested in the flea market, so I told her she should ask Landry to take her on Saturday.

"Do you think he would?" she whispered, her pretty dark eyes anxious and her shoulders hunching a little. "I don't have any money and I don't want him to think I'm greedy."

I remembered when I felt the same way - before I found out my mates were richer than kings. Then I checked myself; Istillfelt that way from time to time, but not as much as before.

"Grace, I'm sure he would. And don't worry about money. He gets a good paycheck as our gamma. Do you want a little job, though, so you feel more independent?"

"Yes, luna. I don't know what I'd be good at, but I would like that."

"Like what, angel?" Landry looked at her with interest, having caught the end of our conversation. "Whatever you'd like, you'll have. I'll make sure of it."

"A job," she murmured, her eyes shining with so much love as she looked at him.

"Angel, Itoldyou.I'myour job. I even warned you that it was hard work to take care of me, but you said you were up for the challenge," he teased her.

"I am. I just think I should contribute some money—"

"You do not worry about that, angel. What's mine is yours. I've waited all my life to share everything with you. If you want a job, that's fine. I'll help you find whatever work you want to do, but please remember that money is theleastof what I want to share with you."

"Aww!" Ash, Emerson, Wayne, Jayden, and I cooed at the couple.

Grace blushed bright red, and Landry grinned.

"Now ice cream!" Thoreau shrieked, oblivious to the moment. "Luna, big sissy Grace, you come with me to get ice cream!"

Or maybe he not so oblivious, Lark mused.I think he get jealous when the attention not on him.

I giggled and shared that thought with Grace, who also giggled.

"Don't go far," Archer told him. "Just to the ice cream truck and back."

"Do you have your wallet?" Wayne asked as Thoreau stood up and jogged over to us.
