"Really?" Her face lit up. "Yes, please! How many are there?"

"You have a grandma named Alberta. Her son, Lincoln, is your father's twin, and he and his wife, Aye, have three surviving children. They very much want to meet you."

"Survivingchildren?"

"A daughter, Elise, passed away in the sickness. So did your grandpa. His name was Arthur. They're good people." I hesitated, then decided to tell her. "Alberta said none of them ever believed that your father could hurt your mother. She said they loved each other deeply."

"Um." She shrank back against Mase's chest and played with her fingers. Her voice came out as an agonized whisper as she asked, "Do they hate me because of what happened?"

"No, Posy. No. They're happy to get a little piece of Logan back. You're the last connection they have to him, and they miss him very much."

Her eyes widened, and I got the sense that she hadn't looked at it that way before.

"I'd like to meet them today," she said at last and slid off Mase's lap to stand up. "Thank you for doing this. I know your time is precious, especially with the coronation tomorrow, and I appreciate that you came yourself instead of sending someone else."

"It was my pleasure to see you again and my privilege to bring you happy news." I got to my feet as the alphas also stood. They instantly surrounded her, and I hid my grin. "I'll show you the way to Alberta's house, but then Idohave to go. Lilah is nervous about tomorrow and, between the hairdresser and the tailor, she's ready to run away. I don't want to have to chase her down again."

"Again?" Cole smirked.

As Posy giggled and the other boys snickered, Wyatt nudged me in the ribs with his elbow.

"Hmm. I wonder what you could do to relieve her stress? Well, it may behard, but I'm sure you'll comeupwith something."

I rolled my eyes and didn't dignify his comment with a response. It wasn't like he had to emphasize the words; we all knewexactlyhow I planned to soothe my mate.

"Ooh, I know! Cuddle her! That always calms me down."

Posy not know, Onyx chuckled. So innocent.

Wyatt, Ash and Jay giggled into their hands, Mase kissed the top of her head, and Cole gave her a soft smile.

"Ash, come help me with my hair real quick so we can go." She grabbed his hand and tugged him along. "We'll only be a minute, King Julian."

"Take your time. A few minutes here or there won't make a difference."

"Thank you."

"Good thing we already planned your outfit," I heard Ash's deep voice rumble as they left the room and disappeared down the hallway.

Raising an eyebrow in amusement, I looked at the other alphas and grinned.

"He does her hair and picks out her clothes?"

"He's her personal stylist," Wyatt replied with a shrug. "Have to admit, he's great at it."

"He's been learning more complicated hairstyles, too, by watching YouTube videos," Jay added.

"And scrolling through Pinterest," Cole said.

I didn't know what Pinterest was and I didn't ask. Just from Cole's grin and tone, I could tell there was a story behind his comment, most likely one in which someone got teased and a fight ensued.

Onyx rolled his eyes in agreement, but stayed silent otherwise.

I knew he was longing to hang out with Quartz, and I told him he could go on a run with his buddy tonight after Lilah fell asleep. That pleased him and he grinned, which I still wasn't used to. It was a far cry from the sulky, miserable wolf he'd been just a few months ago. Now, there were times when he was so happy, it made me giddy.

The miracle of a mate, I thought with a soft smile and thanked the Goddess for her blessing.
