“I love you,” I say, the words an unleashing for both of us as we tear at each other’s clothes, kissing and touching and clinging to each other like it’s the first time.

“I love you,” she says. “Always.” She shifts against me after we’ve stripped each other bare, urging me to my back as she climbs atop me.

Blood is liquid fire in my veins as she drags her heat over my aching cock, her hands braced on my chest as she lowers herself on me.

“Fuck,” I groan as she seats herself. “You feel so good.”

She gasps, never taking her eyes off me as she starts to ride me. “You’re incredible,” she says. “Nothing is better than you.”

I push up until we’re chest to chest, wrapping my arms around her as she continues to ride me. I smooth my hands over her skin, relishing each touch. She’s fire beneath my hands, the rolls of her hips driving me absolutely mad with need.

She’s my world. My everything. And I’m never going to let her go.

Her fingers grip my hair as she kisses me before she pulls away. “I love you,” she says again, and I swear those words are the best I’ve ever heard in my life.

“I love you.” I seal the words with a kiss, the two of us getting lost in each other so entirely I’m not sure where she begins and I end.

All I know is we’re together in every way that matters, and I couldn’t be happier.

“Paxton,” she moans my name as I feel her clench tight around me.

“Yes,” I groan, clinging to her tighter as my release builds right alongside hers.

“I’m…I’m…”

“I’ve got you,” I say, shifting a hand between us, rolling my fingers along her clit as she continues to rock against me.

She gasps, and I feel her go absolutely liquid around me, which sends me flying right over the edge with her.

We catch our breath, but I don’t dare let her go.

She smiles before dropping her head over my shoulder, going limp against me. “Forever is looking pretty great right now,” she says.

I smile, holding her tighter. “It really does.”

CHAPTER 20

MONROE

The Halloween partyis in full swing as Paxton and I arrive in our complementary costumes of Spider-Man and Mary Jane, finding all of our friends and more than half the Badgers filling the club Clay rented out for us.

I'm practically walking on clouds, still showing off my ring on my left-hand ring finger to anyone who cares to look even though it's been a month of us being engaged.

I never knew life could be as beautiful and complex as it is now, and I have Paxton to thank for that. I have Paxton to thank for everything, really, but it's been a beautiful new chapter we've started this last month, all fears and doubts obliterated every single day we’re together.

“You guys look amazing!” Reese says by way of greeting as we find her and Nash and Blakely and Lawson at the bar.

I hug Reese and then Blakely, smiling at them. “You guys look great!” I agree with Reese, who is Black Widow, Nash as Winter Soldier, Blakely as Scarlet Witch, and Lawson as Loki. We all took the Marvel route this year, and I have to say we make a pretty awesome group of superheroes.

We settle into our spaces next to them, sipping cocktails as we look out at the rest of the area, filled with dancers and others chatting in booths that line the walls across the club.

Clay is sitting in one of those corner booths by himself, sipping a beer and overlooking the party with his custom scowl. He paid for and arranged this whole thing for the team, and yet he doesn't seem like he's enjoying it, but I'm not really sure because Clayalwayslooks like that. He's not in costume, unless he's trying to say that his normal black T-shirt, leather jacket, and pants, is a costume tonight.

Our goalie, Fender Strode, is chatting up a couple girls in another booth, looking as dashing as ever dressed as Dracula, and as I scan the array of Badgers on the dance floor, my eyes widen when I spot Hadley, looking hot as hell in a Catwoman outfit. A guy in full tactical gear and a skeleton mask is dancing with her.

I shift away from Paxton, heading over to Reese and Blakely, silently getting them to look that way.

My friends gasp, and we turn away so we're not too obvious, knowing Nash would likely lose his shit if he saw Hadley dancing like that with whohasto be a Badger, but I'm not sure which one.
