“Honestly, no,” Sorenson offered. “It took us too long to realize what he was doing.”

Years…Liam turned to Westin. “What are we going to do?”

“Weare going to do nothing,” Sorenson answered. “This works out best for everyone if we can anticipate Pham’s next move. That has to be similar to what happened before.”

Before—? With Julia. He might get sick.

“He’ll want you there. When he makes his move, we can intercept.”

Liam couldn’t take her self-serving orders anymore. “No dice. We wait until he takes me to Chelsea.”

Sorenson shook her head. “I want him first. He’s mine.”

“Go home,” Westin said plainly. “Pham knows how to disappear, and Samantha is correct that the fastest way to locate Pham is to catch him in the act.”

“No—”

“We don’t think he will hurt Chelsea unless you’re there to watch.”

“That’s a huge gamble.” Liam turned to Black. The man had proved himself well versed with numbers and the truth when asked. “You’re certain you know what Pham will do?”

“There’s no such thing as absolute certainty. Quantifying the probability—”

“Is this the best course of action?” Liam asked.

“Listen to the boss man,” Black offered. “That’s what I’d do.”

Again, Liam studied Black then Westin.Boss man.“All right then. I’ll follow your orders.”
