“When’s the big day for you andCheryl?”Whizz asked. The couple still needed to make theirmarriage official. They’d not actually gotten married in the townhall when Gonzalez was killed.

“I don’t know.Soon, Ihope.”

Butch left him alone withKiller.

His friend sat down on the chairopposite him, laughing.

“Who would have thought six yearsago we were sitting talking about The Lions, and now we’re in TheSkulls clubhouse with you chained to a bed, about to get married,”Killer said.

“You’ve got a kid of yourown.How’s Kelsey?”

“She’s feeling better, muchbetter. The spa will help her today.”

“I don’t suppose you’ll getme out of here?”Whizz asked.

Killer laughed.“You’ve got no chance. With your little paddy last night, Lacey deserves to see youpunished.”Killer suddenly got all serious.“You need her,Whizz.”

“I know.”

“No, she’s been of benefitto getting you back to the way you were. You’re not fixed so don’tthink that I believe you are. You’re better when you’re around her.Don’t push her away because you’re scared.”

“I won’t,” Whizz said.“I’mgoing to marry her.”

In time he was going to get a house, andtogether he and Lacey were going to adopt. He’d give her thechildren she couldn’t have.If she wanted to give him a list of allthe things she wanted, he’d go out of his way to give her what sheneeded.

“I’ll see you around.”Killer got to his feet, making his way out of the room.

“Great, the bastards haveleft me alone.”

He didn’t know how long Lacey was going tobe.Lying on the bed doing nothing was bugging him.He didn’t knowwhat else to do other than to sit and think about his woman.Heloved her with all of his heart and soul. The very thought oflosing her filled him with fear.Last night he’d have let her go,but he would have gone out of his way to get to her again. When itcame to her, he couldn’t let her go.They were connected in moreways than he ever thought it was possible. He loved her completely. She was the other half of him.

The dooropened, andthere stood his woman. She looked beautiful even with the blue hairdye washing out of her hair.

“Lash stopped me on the wayhere with this key.He told me to use it wisely.”She held the keyup for him to see.“Do you know anything about that?”

“It’s a compromise,” Whizz said, showing her his chained hand.“I’m not going anywhere, but thisgives you enough time to wake up and calm me down. It’s what youwanted, right?”

She closed the door, moving toward thebed.

Lacey unbound his wrist, smiling.Thebruises were painful to see, but Whizz would do everything in hispower to be with her.

“I love you,Lacey.”

“I love you, too, Whizz.”Sheclosed the distance between them.“Do you think we can fuck beforedinner?”

He dragged her onto the bed.“Ifyou’re good enough we can both get some pleasure.”

Whizz claimed her lips, moaning as sheresponded to him.

Their life wasn’t perfect, farfrom it.Neither of them had a bright past. Both of them werebroken, shattered by the events in their life, but together, theywere whole. There was no one else Whizz needed, and he’d spend the rest of hislife basking in his newfound hold on life, and hiswoman.

Epilogue

ChristmasEve at the Skulls

December24th

Alex cheered as Whizz and Laceykissed. The couple had gotten married on Christmas Eve within theclub. He needed to get back home to see Sunshine.Butch and Cherylhad also gotten married, but they’d gotten married a couple of weeksbefore.Alex had given her away even though he didn’t want to, yethe’d done it because Michael asked him to.What a lot of The Skullsdidn’t realize was Cheryl’s ability to manipulate any situation.Ned Walker was also in residence for the seasonal event.
