“What classes?”

“I don’t know.I’ve notpicked what I’d like to study. It has been so long.”

“And you dropped out ofcollege after you married me.”

“For some reason marriageand studying didn’t exactly go hand in hand.It was hard, and wedealt with it.”

“I’d like you to go back tocollege.I can pay for it.Money isn’t an issue.”

Rose licked her lips.“How is money?Imean, we’ve not had to worry about money for some time or anythinglike that.I guess I was wondering how we’re going to deal with ababy, and a pregnancy, hospital bills, college. The bills willmount up.”

“You’ve got nothing toworry about.”

“Will The Skulls be doing some oftheir runs?”She wasn’t an idiot.Rose knew exactly what those runswere all about. They ran drugs or guns. She’d once gone into thegarage the night before a run, and she’d seen what Hardy did.Therisk he put himself in scared her.

“The Skulls are getting outof that shit.It doesn’t mean we’re not still worried about apossible backlash from other clubs. We are. There are more thanenough MCs out there to do the runs.”

“Why?”Roseasked.

“Why what?”

“Why are you getting out of it?After all this time?”

“It’s time.If we don’t get outand push our energies elsewhere we’re all going to end up dead. We’re not just a biker club trying to make a big payday. We’re alla family looking out for each other. The last couple of years,we’vehad somuch loss, and everything has been crazy. We’re looking to changeshit, be better, be safer for everyone.”

“I like that.We need to besafer, and happier than ever before.”Rose pressed a hand to herstomach.“We’ve got a baby to think about.”

“That we have.Lash is looking atsetting up some businesses within Fort Wills. We’ve alreadypurchased the land for the gym.The next stage is building it up,and putting the work together. We’ve got enough capital.I promise, baby. The last couple of years I’ve taken care of us.We’re goodwith expenses and shit.I promise,” Hardy said, smiling.

The rest of the meal went by with themtalking about everything and nothing. She loved every second of it,the meal, Hardy, and the fact he was in a suit.

By the end of the night, she didn’twant it to end. They were climbing out of the car, and walkingtoward the house, and she stopped, turning toward him.“I lovedtonight.”

He cupped her cheek, sinking his fingersslowly into her hair.“Me, too.”

She ran her hands up and down his chest, pressing his jacket together.“I like this.Thank you for doingthis for me.”

Hardy pulled her in, pressinghis lips to hers. She melted against him, opening her lips, andplunging her tongue into his mouth at the same time that he didwith her.Wrapping her arms around his neck, she held onto himtightly, not wanting to let him go.

He broke the kiss, moving hislips down her neck, sucking on her pulse.“We’ve got to stop, baby.I’ve onlygot so much strength when it comes to you.”

“I don’t want to wait.Ineed you, Hardy.”

She couldn’t wait for himanymore.

“Fuck, baby.I want to bethe good man here,” Hardy said.

Rose chuckled against his neck.“Thengive me what I want.”

She pressed kisses to his neck tryingto coax him into her bed.

Hardy growled, picking her up in hisarms.

Giggling and squealing, Rose held ontoHardy as he kicked into their house. He slammed the door closed, and called for Baker to lock the door behind them.

Thiswas what she’d been missing, andmoving on had never felt better.
