“Don’t have to thank me, baby.” I kissed her softly. “It was my pleasure.”

I knew I was never going to forget that look on her face and in her eyes when she came.

I had taken her first kiss. This little sweet sixteen-year-old girl just gave me something that I would never forget.

Looking into her flushed face, those eyes, I felt my heart squeeze. I felt something I hadn’t ever felt before.

I braced the bike as she eased herself off. The club car park was dead quiet; there were a few passed out bodies lying around.

She shivered in the night air, and I kicked the stand out, getting off my bike.

She wouldn’t look me in the eye. Instead, her eyes were locked on my bike. I didn’t know what to expect. I had never deflowered a girl with my finger before.

“Why is that bit blank?” She placed her hand on the engine of the bike, where there was a bare spot in the paintwork.

“I’ve been looking for a picture of a reaper.” I scratched the back of my neck. “The guy that did the rest of the work didn’t have one I liked.”

She nodded her head. “It would look sweet.” She looked up, meeting my eyes for the first time since what happened at the park. “Would suit you.”

“Yeah.” I grinned.

“Well, I better go to… um… bed.” She took a step back, her eyes still on mine.

“Night, Abby.”

“Night, Kade.” She smiled, turning her back and walking towards the clubhouse.

I couldn’t stop looking at her, watching her body sway with each step she took away from me.

She was way too beautiful for me. Still, I couldn’t stop reliving what just happened. Never would forget it. I knew that when she walked away.

Abby

I woke up to the sound of roaring engines. For a moment, it didn’t startle me. I lived at the clubhouse; hearing the roar of engines wasn’t out of the norm, but today was different.

I flung the blankets back, staggering out of bed. I ripped the drawing from my sketchbook and scooted out into the hallway. I tripped over my feet and accidently fell down a few steps as I hurried.

I couldn’t let him leave without saying good-bye.

I broke open the clubhouse door and scanned the crowd. Dad was talking to Dane, saying his farewells. Kim was awake and still wearing what I last saw her in the night before. Then I spotted Kade on his bike, looking down at his phone.

Smiling, I hurried around a few bodies.

The concrete was cold under my feet, and I really wished I had fallen asleep in my warm PJs instead of shorts and a tight pink tank top.

“Kade.” I stood awkwardly next to his bike.

His head darted to me, his eyes shocked for a moment. “You’re here.”

“I kind of live here.” I couldn’t stop myself from smiling when I watched his grin bloom.

“You just woke up, didn’t ya?”

My cheeks went red as his eyes scanned up and down my body.

“Yeah well.” I chewed my bottom lip and then flung my hand out. “I wanted to give you this before you left.”
