And I wasn’t sure if I had given Liv a true death sentence.

Iwas holding Liv’s hand while the Alpha and the pack doctor did everything possible to save her. The pack was a lot like church for humans. We could always go to it and they would accept us with welcoming arms. But if you disowned them too many times, then there was no coming back. However, they would always help if they could.

The Alpha and the pack doctor were talking in the corner when the door was nearly flung off its hinges.

“Where is she!”

My eyes widen as I saw Ripper. He had basically gone rouge. He was feral mad, and I don’t think there was anything that could calm him down.

His eyes landed on her, and I had no idea what he was doing. His hand went to the medical tray and he grabbed a syringe.

“We have done an infusion, boy. Her blood is too toxic for it to take,” the doctor said, but Ripper stuck the needle in his arm, drawing out blood. Then, with a full syringe of his blood and blood trailing down his arm, he walked toward Liv.

“Like fuck I am letting you inject her with your blood!” My hand went out, stopping him from going for her vein.

“She’s dying,” he gritted out, “I can feel it.”

I frowned and it slowly dawned on me.No, not possible.

“You and her?” I gasped. “She never said anything . . ..”

“Doesn’t know because of the drugs.” He blew out and looked like he was in physical pain. “Now get out of my way.”

Before I could protest, or speak on the behalf of my sister, he hit my hand away from her vein and injected his blood into her.

And if my sister hadn’t died from the silver, she was now sure to die from his blood, because he had just sparked the mating process with her—without her consent.

Ripper turned to the Alpha. “Old man, thanks for taking her in but as you can see, Dad, I didn’t need you to save my mate.”

Holy shit.Ripper was the Alpha’s son! My eyes went to Liv—she had no idea the hell she was going to wake up to. Because Ripper was her mate.

“Lottie, can I have a moment with my old man?” Ripper said to me, though his eyes were locked on the Alpha.

I nodded my head even though he wouldn’t have seen it and got up.
