A knock on the door scored his attention and he climbed off me. Answering it, Dash stood at the door with a dominant look on his face. His eyes ran up and down me, then a smirk spread across his face. Lucian then gave him a firm shove in the chest and pushed him out of the room, following him out.
Lucian’s phone buzzing on the coffee table scored my attention, and I saw a number I never thought I would see again.
My brother’s.
Lucian walked back in, and I didn’t mention the fact that my brother had called. Or that I knew my brother had called. I could come to two conclusions.
One, Lucian was using me as a pawn with Harley trying to get something in exchange for me.
Two, Harley had found me and had just called to threaten Lucian.
But the question that was on my mind was should I say I knew that number. Then I suppose I didn’t have to because either way, Lucian would know that I knew Harley’s number.
