I gripped Aaron’s shoulder when he walked in, pointing to Holly and Autumn. “You see that. They’ve been sitting there for the last hour laughing and getting on.”

Aaron smirked. “Yeah Autumn always knew how to fix things that were broken.”

“How the hell you are getting both your women to get on?” I looked at him, hiding my jealousy and rage about one of those women being Autumn.

“Autumn and I are friends’ man,” Aaron said with a smirk. Letting me to believe they were more then friends. “Nah not like that man, stop looking at me expecting me to say I’ve been fucking her. Cause I haven’t. Her and I have been friends since her father died.”

“As if.”

“I was sixteen. Met her at the club funeral for her dad,” Aaron explained.“I was drunk, you know a normal sixteen-year-old prospect kid.” Aaron sat down at the table, running his hand through his hair. “The cemetery is near a train track. You know that?”

I shook my head.

“Anyway, I wandered off to spew my gutsaway from the burial. Only to find this nine-year-old kid laying on the tracks.”

My eyes widened.

“Autumn always knew how to get my heart racing. Never been so panicked. Took me ten minutes to get her off the track. No trains were coming. But she wanted to be with her dad.” He sighed. “I don’t want you to think I saved her life because if we are to be honest, she has saved mine more then I hers. But from that moment. I bonded with her. Never wanted her hurt.” He looked at me. “And I’d put myself in the way of anyone that would hurt her.”

“You thought I’d hurt her?” Now I was catching on.

He nodded his head. “Hawk flagged it with me. He knew I’d drop anything for Autumn. So I did but as a result my relationship with Hollygot dropped.”

“Autumn wouldn’t have expected you to do that.” I knew her. I knew that she wouldn’t want Aaron hurting his life, just to help her. “Plus, I’m not going to hurt her.”

“Damn straight you are going to.” He said, and I frowned. “You’ll break her heart but there ain’t shit I can do about it. Saw it in her eyes. She loves you, and when Autumn loves she has the passion of a storm. She doesn’t let go till….” And we both knew where he was heading with this.

“Till she’s forced to,” I said finishing his sentence and took a seat next to him.“Why didn’t ya just tell me you two weren’t a couple? Would have saved me a lot of glaring at you.”

He smirked. “Yeah well, she’s battling that demon still the same one shes been battling since she was nine.” He looked at me. “You know she has depression?”

“Yeah.” I didn’t go into details about how I knew.

“She loves hard Cage. And I can tell you now,” he stood up, “she won’t stop loving you till you fuck her over. And that’s the mother fucking truth. If you don’t want that. You need to walk away. It ain’t got shit to do with me or Hawk. It’s your choice.”

With those words he walked off towards the girls. Watched him place his hands on Holly’s shoulders and she smiled at him. Looks like all was forgiven.

Autumn excused herself and I saw her disappear up the hall.

Fate. Fate had brought me to this moment. All week I thought I lost her. But now she was in my grasp to claim her back, and I was sitting still on a chair, debating if I’d be any good for her.

Truth was, I didn’t know if I’d be the one that would result in costing her life or not. Deep down I knew I wasn’t good for her. But I knew that she had weaved her way into my soul. So, I threw the shot back and got up- heading in the direction of her room.

Chapter Thirty One

CAGE

Why the fuck did I ever doubt her? I brought my fist to her door. Waiting a few moments, as I heard movement. Then the door opened. I could ask her if I could come in. I could tell her how extremely sorry I was. I could beg her to forgive me. But I didn’t do any of that.

Instead, my hands cupped her cheeks, surprise spread across her eyes. And then I planted a kiss on her lips. I planned on kissing her once. But that plan went out the window when I got a taste of her sweet lips.

I groaned, as my hands cupped her face. She didn’t pull away or slap me. So I took that as a sign. I walked her backwards into her room. Kicking the door shut behind me.

I ran my tongue across her bottom lip, and she opened her mouth, sending delight though me. She wasn’t pushing me away. My hands traveled down her neck, across her collarbone, down her arms and then I gripped her by the ass, lifting her up and walking to the bed.

I waited till the bed hit my legs, and I sat down, placing her on me, straddling me. She didn’t fight me, and her lips didn’t leave mine for a moment.

Ihungrily kissed her. I knew then that in order for my soul to stay intact, I needed her.
